Nick Kuhn
One of these days I'll have to hitch a ride on some of these nice rides...Having spent the first 18 years of my fishing out of a 14 foot cartop with a 7.5HP motor, I thought a 16ft Deep-V with a 75HP 4-Stroke was a nice upgrade... bigsmallie
sled, I'm still waiting for the right tourney to come up for us. You'll have to fish out of my old triton though. Deitz, how do you compare the ride and speed to you're 186?
SledNeck
been a while since I fished out of a purpose built bass boat. I have a bass/pike/walleye edition Lund! People look at me crazy when they see the walleye chair up front raises up so high! Thats what you get for being the oddball (NE MN bass fisherman). Ray Esboldt
Sled, please don't tell me you're gonna leave me standing as the last aluminum-tiller-boat guy standing around the bass forum.

Deitz, how do you compare the ride and speed to you're 186? Its not even fair to compare them... My Triton 186 was a great boat.. Loved it. It was an 01, with a 150 Johnson. With a very light load, shallow tanks I got 63mph out of it. It wasnt as good in rough water as the Champion. But drove well, and fished well. I have yet to get to top speed with the BassCat, I have had it to 74, but know of a boat exactly like mine, same everything that gets 82.. I have yet to find something to complain about with the Cat, other than the days arent long enough.

SledNeck
TurnUp and Sled,God bless you guys. I'm a firm believer that an aluminum boat puts out a current that attracts monster smallmouth.

Cecil
Attracts or causes them to float the the surface? They are very different!
JimBuck
That BassCat is NICE! I haven't had a chance to view one in person but the layout seems very nice functional. I'm still going strong in my Aluminum Tiller. Maybe someday.....
SledNeck
Attracts or causes them to float the the surface? They are very different! A bass will fight it's way to the surface when hooked. A walleye floats up.....not that the composition of the boat has any bearing on that!
grab the net
As a die hard, Ranger guy, even I have to admit that is a pretty sweet looking ride. Even has the right brand truck advertised, FORD. Powered by a Merc Opti, with the I believe racing lower unit and tricked out SS prop!!! How much better does it get. walleye6336
Absolutely love my Cat. Plan on attending the Owners Invitational tourney this year. Great place to meet fellow Basscat owners and the family which runs the operation. Tried to post a pic, but couldn't figure out how... Black_Bay
The Bay Cat looks pretty interesting. It wouldn't take much to make that hull into a multi species boat. It looks like the closet dealers are in Omaha and some place in Wisconsin.
Deitz Dittrich
Yes, there is a dealer in WI.
