Is a 13 inch perch mount worth i caught two last night

I would say no but it is up to you. If they mean something to you, go ahead. 14" or bigger for myself.

a mount is only worth what you think it is.. Should not matter what other people think.. If its a memorable fish for you, and you can afford to have it mounted.. I say go for it! Congrats on the Perch!

I would personally say that perch look better when there is 2 or 3 in the 10-12 inch range together rather than one 15" with a sagging belly of eggs that just has that older dullish look.

We were catching on average 14" perch on a slough outside of a town in southern MN I don't really want to mention last year. That was AVERAGE. They were mostly about 98% fat females full of eggs, so they were pretty hefty as well. I wouldn't mount any under 14-16

agree with sand and dietz and bman a mount is something that has special meanin to you its like if your new born is born are you gonna ask anyone if you should take pics probably not cuz its a special moment for you and thats what matters

My brother brought in a 14.5in perch to the tax. and he claims he lost it!!!

I disagree. I caught a 2.2lb and a 2lb crappie in the same morning, mounted them on a piece of driftwood and they look fantastic.

A agree, a group mounting is way cool. Especially for pannies.

If you feel they are worthy, have them mounted. One cannot mount a fish unpon anothers thought on size.

They are nice fish. I have seen 4# walleye mounts that look nicer than a 10# walleye mount. Size is not everything.

I agree with the two fish mounts also. I have two perch mounted on the wall and they look great. If you like them, and want to get them mounted, do it. I didn't get a duck mounted one time and still regret it. It is your mount and you are paying for it, So if you like it by all means do it.

If they look good, do it. Sometimes the true trophy fish get kind of old and worn out looking so a nice sized healthy fish would be a better pick.

For me the size of the fish doesn't determine mounting status. Just like anything you have in your home for decoration, if you like the looks of it, do it to it. Joe

I have to agree w/the majority. If YOU feel that YOU want to have those fish mounted then do it! Can't let others influence your decision here! If you don't have em mounted you may regret it down the road. There will always be a good story to tell your friends/family about that mount and the day you got them, etc.

I caught a 15.5" perch that only weighed 1.5 pounds - thought for sure it would go 1.75 at least. When I get a 2-pounder, it'll go on the wall. Depends on the lake though, I suppose - a 13" perch on some lakes is harder to find than a 15" on others. I fish mosly Devils Lake and LOW for perch.

If it's going to be extremely hard to get another perch that large in your lifetime, I'd go for it. Not everyone fishes areas with true jumbos. I'm impressed by an 8 pound walleye, some guys only mount tens, some twelves.

I had a 2.5lb bass mounted for my son. He caught it when he was 4 and it comes with a great story. I think that in certain situations all fish someone catches, might be worthy of a mount...absolutely a picture!
