I agree, anything 10+ are rare and very nice bull gills.

It is also a good idea to return that size of gill to maintain the genetics in that b ody of water. Those bulls also play a part in reducing the risk of having a stunted population of gills.

A picture and graphite replica makes a longer lasting memento of your trophies.

That being said, very nice fish and congrats on a nice catch of two trophies. Do you have pics?

I would take a few great pictures with my unbelievable grin on my face, keep the fish close to my body so it don't look like I'm trying to make it look bigger. Let that big girl go, and spend the money it would take to mount it on a super print, blownn up, in a cool frame...Unless I caught a 4 pounder...A fish that old would be like me...No help anymore for the breeding population...Might as well mount it...

10” is probably the universal number for a Gill.

Good Gill lakes put out fish that are 9.5-9.75" fairly often. That 10” though is tough to hit.

I don't know if I'd say "universal", but definitely in the upper Midwest a 10" sunny is a trophy catch.
