Eyefishalot
Caught on May 02, 2010. She was weighed by a digital scale and registered at 7lbs and 12oz. She was pictured and released back to the Mississippi pool 4 - Minnesota (Back waters). Caught on a 1/4oz black and blue jig and powered by 6'6" GLX and Diawa Steez 103SHA. BEAUTIFUL FISH! Its such a great feeling to release her back into the water because big fish like her are rare.

Juan Grande
Good Lord that's a beautiful fish! You getting a replica?Congrats Eyefishalot!
Eyefishalot
Thanks. I'm going to get a replica. Sucks because i don't know what the girth is. I was too excited and forget about the girth. She was only 21.5" but this was before spawning so she put on some weight.
Cecil
VERY NICE FISH! I know where that is! Jk, it all looks the same down there. $5 says thats your best MN bass of the year.
Eyefishalot
Its my best bass in MN of all times. 4's are a dime a dozen, 5's a challenge, 6's are rare but 7's is a once in a lifetime in Minnesota.
jalberg
I agree, I've been fishing my butt off the last several years trying to break 7lbs. I've come close twice. Maybe this year. Very nice fish!
Juan Grande
I'd s**t myself with a 6.

If you had a working digital scale it may very well be a 7 depending if you caught it after spawning or before. Good luck. Now my next dream is to catch an 8lber.... Deitz Dittrich
Wow, hogzilla!!! thanks for sharing.. I have only broke the 7 lb barrier 1 time.. passed 6lbs close to a dozen now.. but that 7 is rare and one to treasure.. I would think with the picts you have, you could get a replica pretty easy, they can tell by the pict near to what the girth was.Congrats again!!! mainbutter
Here's a couple side catches, the big-uns seem to like the big soft plastics I've been tearing up the pike with, all over 18''! And my girl with her first "real fish" (aka not a stunted bluegill or perch). She got it on a crankbait she picked out herself from Cabelas and was quite proud! We traded rods and I caught a pretty nice ~30'' pike on her lure later that day so she was even double-y happy that 'her' lure caught fish. hcmpls1
Totally unprepared so he didn't get length or weight... It was a monster though still full of eggs. My buddy caught her on Walleye opener so I took a picture and we sent her on her way! With any luck, she'll be waiting for us, with friends, this weekend! bronzeback
that 7 pounder a few pages back is unreal. I caught one right around 6 last year and that fish blew my mind. really nice fish though, congrats on that. this fish murdered a lipless crank. 21"+ and heavy. Reeeeally good year class of fish in the Mississippi this year. '07 or '08 was ridiculous and I think this year could be another one of those bigggg fish years.
