Now, just for the halibut, package it up and UPS it back to them. See what happens, you could get a favorable response from their cust service or nothing. Either way you don't need to dispose of it!! BTW, I see you made the adjustment with a size #7... The correct size adjustment tool is a #11 grin See fine print of owners manual. Phred52

Thats a fantastic idea Phred52! Send it back to them just like that with a picture of what you put up on the site. That would probably make some jaws drop at the factory for sure. Its worth the ten bucks just to see what kind of response you would get.

Yep Know how you feel, I've got a big buddy and nothing makes me madder then the wind blows out the dang heater. Half the time getting it started is a real Bi$@#. The sunflower on top of a small LP tank is nice, once it starts, I never have problems with it going out. But, Like said before, it can burn some holes in the shack. I haven't done it yet though.

I have such a low opinion of the Buddy heaters, I do not even open a thread that has a question or the name in the title anymore grin.

I am glad I finally made an exception to the rule in this case grin. After seeing all the responses in such a quick amount of time, I knew something was up wink.

Funny stuff, thanks for sharing.!~~~~~

when my big buddy went down i called the factory and one of the tech said they have found that if you use the black lp hose without a filter there is an oil which seeps into regulators pilot tubes everything. took my heater apart and cleaned all tubes with alcohol got the green hose they recommend and it works just fine. just thought i would pass that along since the factory dosen't readily give out information

That is really a wonderful tool... Fix your heater AND get rid of your stress.

I was wishing I had that tool for my heater on Sunday. Worked great when I was home but out on the ice... FORGET IT...

Anyway I hope that you are feeling better after that and you are staying warm. smile

Thats a nasty slice you've got there, Try to keep your left arm a little straighter and your feet a little closer together, slow down your back swing. My buddys have been great for me, hate to see your problem is beyond your warranty coverage.

I have sent mine back twice only to have the company tell me everything is fine. I tried it with a 1lb disposable bottle, 5lb tank and a 20lb tank. I have tried different hoses too, only to have it blow out each and every time, I even have a video, Mr. Heater suggested that I disassemble and clean the fuel line, replace the control valve and regulator (for a cost of corse) yet they could not tell me how they got it to work (without the above suggestion's) and I could not. An above poster commented that it's operator error - I don't think this many people posting are making the same mistake, so I challenge you and Mr. Heater to show me the better way with this P.O.S. if not, PLEASE LET ME BORROW THAT TOOL!

Was wondering if I could get the left side tank door cover from that one. My fell out of the back of my truck going down the road two years ago, shocked little banged up. Still works great!

I hope you find inner piece and can move on. I know acouple good docter. (Jack D. MD., Jim B. MD. list goes on.)
