Windy City
Sand,They are like butta, on a roll! But I guess the Queens are on a roll too, they brutalized the Super Bowl champs and this and that, pay no attention to the second string that was in for most of the game. Eagles by 21 points!Windy
boatfixer
If the only reason we won was because of second stringers, Eli and Company should have been up by at least 2 TDs by half time right? Heck we didn't even have big Pat (clearly the only reason we won as many games as we did).

Hammer Handle
At least the Vikes have a better chance to win the SB than any other team in the division. It may be a slim chance, but a chance. And, the Giants played all of their main starters in the first half. Who won the first half (scorewise). Yep, the Vikes. Jim Uran
Amen to that Hammer, Windy do you want some gravy with that crow?
fishin58
Awesome game, also Carr played better then Manning in every facet of the game. Carr made some great plays. Meatballs need not apply but we are in whether you like it or not you closet packer fans.
fishinphilth
To all you packer and bears fans, good luck fishing, we viks fans will have to take the afternoon off fishing to watch our team beat the eagles this weekend. Say all you want about how they are going to get beat at least they have the chance.
harvey lee
The simple fact is, the Vikes did what they needed to, to win the title. Every team has bad calls throughout the season Windy. When it came down to push and shove, the Vikes were the team to bat and the others in the divison didn;t do it enough. The Vikes may not be the best in football but they are where they need to be to have even a small chance at winning. They are playing very good football. many including myself did nott give the Vikes a prayer against the Giants but, they did win the game. KMR85
what a great read in the football forum today. almost every thread has crying going on about the 2nd string etc. what a smile it put on my face
Shack
I had a feeling we would win the Super Bowl this year Go Vikes! Only four games

Born2Fish
Way to go vikes! It does not matter that we beat their second string, 3rd string. We BEAT them, that is all we needed to do. The eagles who beat a shell of a cowboys team, looks like a good match-up. Plus we do play this game at home which is in our favor. I believe the eagle falter and the vikes come out ahead.....31-24 Vikings!
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted December 29, 2008 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted December 29, 2008 The Vikes are a pretty good team. They beat the Giants 1st string and won the game. ViKINGS won ten games. Coming from a 1-3 start to finish 10-6 is remarkable.I think the Vikes will do just fine against Philly. East Coast teams are over-hyped anyway.
Sandmannd
I agree with you Rick, if you had told me after the first four games that they were going to be 10-6, no way I woulda believed it. Keep playing good ball and play even better ball next week and they'll keep going forward.
james_walleye
Have YOU watched the NFL lately? There are teams in the NFC that will crush the Vikes when they get the chance. If they get to play the Giants again, you can bet it won't be a last second FG to win the game. Being enthusiastic about one's club is one thing, delusional is another. You mean, like Carolina? The giants? Have you paid any attention to the way the vikings own Eli? I'm not saying they will walk in and beat either of these teams at their place, but the vikings stay in games. They don't get blown up, there hasnt been a game this year where they havent been in position to win in the 4th quarter.
james_walleye
The eagles are on a roll? I guess you missed the game 8 days ago when the deadskins beat them 10-3. The eagles arent winning in the metrodome by 21 points. That might be your hopes and dreams but it aint happenin......
LMITOUT
You're right, they won't win by 21 points. If the Eagles play like they did last night they'll win by 31.
BullFighter
VIKES 24Eagles
Sandmannd
That's what I was thinkin' BullFighter. Gunna be a tough defensive game.
james_walleye
Or maybe they will complete a 4th and 26. Its hilarious how much a viking playoff birth is eating you up. You need to get that tip-up on your avatar out more often and relax.
LMITOUT
Ahhh, the ol' fall back plan....get a jab in on Green Bay when this has nothing to do with them. Typical. What is hilarious is the delusion I keep reading. It is very entertaining to say the least.I think the Vikes have a shot at beating the Eagles, but two things may happen:1. The Eagles have a huge collapse after curb-stomping the Cowboys to get into the playoffs.2. The Vikes collapse after that "big" emotional win over the former Super Bowl Champions where they showed they can compete with the #1 team in the NFC who were playing all of their starters. (chuckle chuckle)It is fitting that a purple Christmas tree was displayed in the first post because the Vikings definitely got a few gifts under that tree. Sandmannd
Oh come on Limit, you'd be ribbing just the same if your cheesiness was in. Oh wait, they haven't been in the running since week six!! Doesn't matter to me who they played or how many starters were on the field, they one. And if your beloved quackers & cheese had made it the same way you and all the cheesecurds would be singing their praises. Go Purple, it's a tough road, just play hard. Drewski
Is limit a packers fan? Just curious, I didn't think he was.
LMITOUT
Not a Packer's fan but that's what is funny....they keep throwing it in my face and it means nothing. What makes it hard for them is typically their only comeback is to slam the other person's team, but it's tough when they're unsure of who it is to slam to avoid the actual question or comment....you know, the diversion tactic played early and often here? Oh well. It is all in good fun.
Sandmannd
Yea, limit's just an instigator!! But it's all fun.
