I dont know if i like that wild bill, he has a short fuse and it is going to cause some big issues especially if he is already blaming the crew for his short comings.

I'd have a short fuse too if 2 1000 pound crab pots crashed on the deck because someone was negligent.

what was with the beginning last night??? someone was in the water and it sounded like they were going under the boat being sucked down by the propellor..... I hope that the "Jake switch" doesn't go bad, because phil and sig were talking about the exchange what was going to happen in open water with the cranes!!! otherwise it was an o.k. show again!! I look forward to every Tuesday night!!

I can guarantee you that they wouldn’t be switching people like that without cameras on board. You don’t purposely put people in to the water like that. I’m sure they talked it over with the TV folks and they probably had a rescue chopper hovering above the whole time or something like that.

If something bad would’ve happened you would have heard about it a long time ago.

Listening to the way that Keith talks to his brother. Man, I would have a hard time being on the same boat as him. The guy almost died last year on a dumb idea. I think I'd try my luck on a different boat and see what happens.

I think the Wizard guy will do whatever it takes to keep a TV camera on board, which is argue with your crew and complain all the time.

The wizard crew does nothing for me, I'll admit I couldn't do what they do, but Cap'n Keith has shorted bait two years in a row and/or Mouse tells them to over bait, I don't know. The tarp thing last year was a mess, why not do it in port? Then, supposedly running his mouth in the bar to Time Bandit deck hands and not thinking the Hillstrands would hear about it? WOW

I agree on the opener, was waiting for that event and nothing! Also agree that there is no way they are doing open water transfers without fail safes. The chase boat standing by, maybe coast guard as part of a training thing too etc. Otherwise why not throw the boys in dingys and make the switch that way?

Yeah, as far as the transfer of the two Jake's goes, the plan sounds pretty sketchy. Besides, how will they transfer their duffel bags without getting them soaked? A guy needs his stuff. I guess we'll see.

My thought was, "Why don't they swap in Dutch at the off load?". The King season will be over soon. What's the rush?

good point on the belongings, would not have thought of that. The piece of it all that is powerful is knowing of Cap'n Phil's passing and that he sent his son with Sig, then talking how he misses him and makes arrangements to make the switch. Makes me wonder if he had any sort of premonition or something, I don't know.

Did Phil have the stroke during King crab or the Opelio season? The way Keith snaps, I beleave is real, he can hardly control himself and then trys to explain it away knowing he went a little overboard. I dont expect to see him next year. Choice of boats - Northwestern, Cornilia Marie with a storm coming which would u pick? Needlessly transfering workerers from boat to boat on the seas-ratings-producers to much control.

I don't think that would be too hard. I ran into both of them at a bar in MPLS when they were in town for the Sports Show a few years back. Let's just say they were having a good time I'm still [PoorWordUsage] off that I didn't have my camera with so I could have gotten a picture with them. Those two are awesome.

10 more episodes to go 'til the fateful one. Opie season for sure. I think they are done with Kings in late fall.

Man, those Jakes have bigger stones than I do!! To put yourself into the Bering sea, to be plucked out by the crane!! Holy cow...I thought the one Jake got pulled under by the prop... scary for a moment there.

Who do you think Phil throws off the boat on the previews for next week?? This was a good episode. Feel kinda bad for Keith, but sounds like he brought it on himself. Wild bill isn't having too good of a comeback, lots of dead loss. Also didn't know that Nick owned a Salmon boat too....sad story about loosing a guy.

I thought that transfer was a pretty crazy setup too. Don't they have smaller aluminum boats on board that they could have lowered into the water with a crane? Seems like a safer option, although I suppose it may capsize anyway with the waves.

I flipped between the baseball game and DC. Missed the thing about Keith, just saw some dialogue between him and the Hillstrands.

I kinda feel bad for Russel. Sounds like he finally got his head in the right place, but got let go because of some bad fishing. He looked to be really pulling his weight for once.

I think the only time they showed the Wizard was when he was trying to make nice with the Time Bandit boys at the very end of the show.

The only clip of the Wizard was at the end when Keith tried calling Johnathan.

This all stemmed from the fight in the first episode this season. Apparently, Keith was bad-mouthing the Hillstrands to some of the Time Bandit crew at a bar, trying to get them to come work for him. Of course, Johnathan got wind of this and confronted Keith about it. That, along with some other shenanigans he's pulled in the past led Johnathan to basically tell him to F off and that they are no longer friends.

Keith tried to patch things up on Tuesday's episode, but Johnathan is sticking to his guns.

My favorite part of this weeks episode was Mike running around the Time Bandit in his boxers. What a nut!

haha i wonder how much of a weather change they get there sometimes, like when they are fishing cod they are in sweatshirts pretty much, then they are in full gear, but he was running around in his underwear the other night

I thought that too about throwing the Jakes in Dingy's but like the other guy said, I think I would want better odds of floating in a survival suit vs in a 14 foot lund in those seas.

Don't know what every interaction was like but glad that Johnathon held off Keith too.
