Scott K
He deserves to finish his career in "Cheese Town" not here in the land of "Walleye" . I hope the pack take him back and he plays 2 more years there and we dont have to put up with his whinning next year! Favre is not the future of the Vikings, it would be a few steps back in getting a QB for years to come. If we bring in Favre any progress Jackson has made, he will loose! I am not saying that T-Jack is our future, but you do need to spend a few years molding a rooking QB into what you want him to be, and T-Jack has had a couple and should be in his final stages. If he isnt there this year, then you move onto a different QB.
Farley
Who better to help mold a rookie QB than John Madden's man-crush, Brett Farve?

Sandmannd
True that 4wandering. He out and out said that it wasn't his job to tech, so what makes you think he would do anything with Tjack? He's a crybaby and would rather the pack keep him so he can make more of a mess of them.
Craigums
It would make me sick to see favre in purple keep that one man circus out of the dome
Scott K
Quote:NO TAMPERING PENALTY FOR VIKINGSPosted by Mike Florio on August 4, 2008, 4:01 p.m. Though it’s unclear where this new was first reported (we think it was Sirius NFL Radio), Adam Schefter of NFL Network confirms that the “Minneapolis” (thanks, Greta) Vikings won’t be punished for allegedly tampering with Packers quarterback Brett Favre. The Packers made the charge last month based on their belief that Favre had excessive communications with Vikings offensive coordinator Darell Bevell, who previously was Favre’s quarterbacks coach in Green Bay.Favre recently admitted that he talked both to Bevell and to Vikings head coach Brad Childress, but Favre denied that they enticed him to play for the Vikings. And thus the clusterfudge that is the Packers organization looks foolish yet again in this protracted string of gaffes and embarrassments. PierBridge
It's getting so bad in Green Bay that they have brought in Ari Fleischer former White House Press secretary as a team consultant....HUH?... LMAO!

FISHINGURU
i'd love if the vikes got favre...we'd shred teams...i wouldn't mind if we spent a 4th or 5th for him.the drama is funny....people pretend they don't want to hear it anymore but then thats all they talk about.i know favre doesn't want to play against jared allen and company...i was looking forward to watching rodgers get just slaughtered his first game....i'd kinda feel bad if we had to beat up on the old guy. croixflats
Now that Favre is all emotional and it looks like he's going somewhere else to play. Does this mean we dont have to sit through a jersy retirement, I hope
Shack
This might have been said all ready, but when he goes into the hall of fame, what jersy will be hanging on the wall. Purple or Yellow and green?

PierBridge
FUNNY!.....guys~ He'll be running the Packers organization long before he's inducted into the Hall. He obviously has a personal vendetta going here and has taken this personal maybe a bit to much.
Badger
Well lets ask Aaron Rodgers how well of a mentor he was for him! 4wandering & Sandmann.....Aaron Rodgers has said over and over on ESPN that Favre has been very good to him over the last 3 years, and they got along great. "I learned a lot from Brett."How many guys in the NFL really want to "teach" younger players that want their starting positions? It's not their jobs to mentor/teach young players. That's what a coaching staff is for.

JIvers
New York should be a big enough media stage for Favre's ego. I can't wait until he throws his first "just having fun out there" interception--Jet fans are both fickle and brutal. The interesting thing is that the Jets have announced they will trade or release Chad Pennington. This means Pennington may well end up in Minnesota. Pennington has a weak arm by NFL standards, and has been plagued by injuries, but he has a reputation as a good "game manager" sort of QB. Like most Viking fans, I thought Minnesota should have signed Jeff Garcia last year, or made a play for another good veteran QB (Frerotte doesn't cut it) to compliment Tarvaris Jackson; Pennington may fill that role.
