I think the topic is BEST invention...one could argue that religion and firearms have caused the most destruction in the world. Both of those could be considered for inventions that CHANGED the world the most, but "best" might be taking a bit of a leap.

I would vote for:

Printing press

Democracy

Electricity

Best is subjective. Religion has done alot of good in this world as well controversy. I dont want this to turn into a flame. I try to respect everyones personal beliefs. But one gives you a reason to live (or a reason to fight) the other gives a way to enjoy the outdoors, defend your country (or a way to cause harm). What im trying to say is you could also consider the bikini a torcher device.

I hear ya. I will admit my subjective view was a glass-half-empty take. Your take on the bikini is a good and funny one.
