Well I am wondering what effect this latest snow dump will have on the ice, looks like we got around 18" of heavy wet snow and we are supposed to get more later today. Seems like that would be an awful lot of weight on the already deteriorating ice.

I'm sure it did it no good. Along with the rain today in the Metro I'm sure the ice fishing is done around here. A few will venture out, I'm planning on getting the boat ready to head out. Probably hit the mississippi in the next week or two to get my fix.

We got a little rain here in STC, but it's not going to do much to the 26" of ice we had as of friday on watab. The top couple inches are soft and crappy but the other 24" are just fine. We're supposed to get 1-3" of snow here tonite but i'm sure that it'll be gone in a day or so.

Man im thankful we didnt get that snow in the Twin Cities. Our whole high school baseball season would be down the drain. Its bad enough with all this rain the fields are so wet i cant even imagine having 21 inches melt on them. I'll keep all of you who are having to deal with this snow in my thoughts while im catching carp with the long rod! ;\)

I just had to go brush off the dish again, 25" up here not far from Wabana lake and still coming down. This isn't funny anymore!!! mad.gif
