Backtrolling Splash Guards

What is your opinion on the best type or brand of splash guards.I looked back 150 pages on the forum & could not find the topic.To be installled on a 18' Lund Pro V. Thanks.

The two I have seen and used are white cap and wave wackers. They both work good. White cap are a little cheaper, but they work good thats what I have on my 17' lund. They are easy to install.

I've had Wave Wackers on a couple of boats and have been very impressed with them, and the customer service.

I don't have any first-hand experience with the other brands but have only heard good things about all of them, have not heard any negatives.

I think just as important as the brand is having them custom cut to the setup of your transom. My Wave wackers were made at the dealer to fit both my Gas kicker and my Transom mount Electric. ( Had to have both!)

I used whitecaps on my Crestliner. They were very easy to install and looked/worked great. A lot cheaper then waver wackers too.

I've had Wave Wackers and had problems with them. I called them with my problems and was told that I was on my own. I never called them again. White Caps all the way.

With one of my sets of Wave Wackers, I didn't like the way water could splash between my kicker and my big motor. I called Wave Wackers, told them what I had and the measurements, and got a replacement the same day at no charge.

I've had Wave Wackers for one season now and they do the job I ask of them. Seem to be very well designed and built.

I have Wave Wackers on my 2025, and they come off easy and are very tough. I have cracked other brands in big waves, but these have been tough

I've had four sets of Wave Wackers on four different boats, been flawless. Lost one trailering down the road, my fault, went to the shop and not only did I get a new one but they upgraded the rubber on the old one...total cost $20. I would call that great service and a customer for life.

The three most popular brands, all mentioned above, of splash guards do the job and hold up well. The only difference is the fit and finish. I think WaveWackers have the best appearance and sport look.

I've had both the Wave Wackers and White Caps. The Wackers had the best finish. The White Caps are easy to modify and take on and off. They both are very good. The Caps are much cheaper and I got them the next day, which was very nice. With the Wackers I had to wait 10 days before I got them, but that was several years ago, and they may have been really busy at the time.
