Polarized Sun Glasses??

What brands of polarized sunglasses does everyone use? What have you found to be the best brands out there?

MY last 3 have been Ray Ban, Costa Del Mar and now Bolle'...I seem to like the Bolle's the best, they seem to fit my face better than any others I tried on... Costa Del Mar are probably the best or one of them, but too much money for me to spend on something that will probably get wrecked anyway.

I've had Costa's for a few years...found them on closeout so I only paid about 75 bucks. Still a lot for sunglasses, but I can really tell the difference if I put on a pair of cheapos. I try to keep them in the case, but still shattered a lens once and had to send them in. Another 60 bucks...oh well. You only get one set of eyes:)

Yup Costa del mar Fathom. Get the glass lens, Alittle more but worth it.

Orlip, funny you should post that pic...I have deep blues, but saw some fathoms on a clearence sale last year and ordered them in a different lens color. They were a little narrow for my big head:), so... now my son is a Costa fan as well!

Well mine are probably somewhere in the blue lake waste water treatment plant I have yet to replace them as I had a pair of Ray Bans for back up but I miss them very much.

I've got Costa del Mar Wavekillers with the green mirror/amber glass lenses. The Wavekillers are made for a bigger face (I've got a big noggin) and they fit me well.

These were the first pair of expensive glasses I bought. Didn't figure they could be that much different, but I truly can see better with them on. Well worth the investment. I just save them for fishing and driving--no barley pops when they are around!

Smiths, Costa Del Mar, or Maui Jims are all good, Smiths have been great for warranty and product replacement, and Ray Bans were the worst in that department. They actually told me "too bad" by their parent company, after 3 pairs and $300.00,and they all broke in the exact same place under no misuse or mistreatment. A lot of the companys are owned by the same parent company. HTB

Believe it or not, I use the $8 flip-up clip-ons in amber. I take care of them and store them in a hard case. They last me several years per pair. I like them because I fish in areas where shadow and light are a factor, like trout streams and on days with intermittent cloud cover. It's nice to flip them up out of the way sometimes. I wear glasses for vision correction.

I've found that the flip-ups to be better for fishing than regular sunglasses.

The amber color gives me the best contrast.

Sam's club just had a sale on polarized sun glasses for $25. I purchased two pair last year and couldn't be more happy. Comfortable, different lens colors, work very good. Plus alot less expensive than the others mentioned.

Smith's Action Optics will All Hour Brown lense. Great lense, comfortable on the eyes, and gives a fairly decent few in the water.

I am a huge Maui Jim fan. I have two pairs and would like a couple more. I can see the scales on bass in the shallows when guys I am fishing with can't even see the bass. They are amazing. I have Cocoons too, which are nice and very resonable, and they are the best I have found for over perscription glasses.

It's tough to believe without a direct comparison, but, in terms of performance, they won't touch some of the reputable sunglasses that have been mentioned.

Maui Jim is my choice... very comfortable, able to wear all day long. lenses topped by no one. The way to go.

I have had my Solar Bats for 5 years and they are VERY comfortable. I have gone through two sets of lenses so far. The first finally got enough scratches that I replaced them, and this second set (only used about 8 months) cracked. I just called Solar Bat on friday and they told me to send them in and they would replace them at no charge. I like the green best.

You can't compare 20 dollar models to the higher end ones. I have a pair of Costa Del Mars and they are awesome. Maui Jims are very nice. Last year Marine_Man was wearing his 20 pair I told he put on mine. His response was a simple WOW. He said he couldn't believe what he had been missing. My pair ran about 110 far cheaper than many of the oakleys I have owned over the years.

Everyone on here says go expensive but for a college kid on a budget I have a pair of 8 doallar idk whats from walmart and thyre scracthed beyone recognition but suprisingly the clarity of them is still super clear. Im sure they wouldnt compare to the expensive ones, but they sure are just as good as some of my buddie's 30-40 dollar pairs. Oh and whatever you have GET A STRAP FOR THEM!!!! it has saved me countless times in losing them and or setting them down and having them fall off my head only to get crushed or stepped on!!!

I have always been a fan of Oakley personnaly. The warranty that comes with them is only seconded by Smith (from what I have seen). I just got into some half jackets which allow for the lenses to be changed. I like using them for hunting as well to cut down the snow glare. They are a little more spendy, but if you break them, scratch them, pretty much anything (besides your dog chewing them...which I tried) Oakley will replace them.

The best cheap pair I have purchased are Strike Kings from Wal-Mart or equivalent. They cost no more than 15 bucks and work real well. I buy cheap cuz I lose them and break them so much.
