I've seen them like that on sunnies and rock bass, but that was the first time I'd seen it on a Northern. I think it looks pretty cool.

i have seen than before on pike but only on smaller pike as your photo shows. you do see that more on panfish. good luck.

Almost unreal, right !!! I thought the fish was gonna launch itself into the boat and my buddy had the camera in hand. A little blurry, but PERFECT !!

No action shots this weekend, and I only landed 2 fish. Both fish fell to a 7" swimbait in less than 10' of water.

Water temp was 55 in the am and 57 or so when these were caught, and the bait is a new soft plastic the company I work for is launching in January. I was actually fishing a pure white proto-type because water visibility was less than a foot.

With as many muskies as we were seeing yesterday (over 10 from the weedline I caught this on), you can imagine when I hooked into something solid that I was pretty surprised to see a pike come up.
