Went to "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". It's an F. Scott Fitzgerald written film that has been proposed for over a decade. I really enjoyed the film. Very thought provoking and deals with human mortality. The film's main character is born old and dies young. Just a warning, it's 2.5 hours long.

I watched that new one that comes out on the 30th called TAKEN with Liam Neeson. Pretty good flick actually. Kind of slow at the beginning then the action starts and it flows good. It was weird seeing Liam Neeson's quiet demeanor get crazy.

We watched TAKEN last night and for me it was just, well, okay I guess? I didn't think the acting was very good? I think Neeson was out of his realm. And alot of the stuff was kind of hokey....he knows, or can find out everything about everybody, but his ex and his daughter are able to pull the wool over his eyes? Oh well.

Also, the dude can generate more intel in 5 minutes, then the CIA can generate in 5 weeks...at 60 years old, he can outrun Jason Bourne and still fight a brigade of bad guys.

I like the action scenes, a.l.a. Stephen Segal and all the other whipper uppers rolled into one, but I'd only watch it the one time.

Watched GRAN TORINO last night....kind of slow as Clint Eastwood movies used to go, but vintage Eastwood and there is some funny stuff in there, believe it or not, what an old snapping turtle! I'd have him for a neighbor.

Seems kinda like a Hallmark movie on steroids? Some family stuff, some feel good stuff interlaced with some rough stuff and gun play.

Even at his age (how old is he?) he can still get ahold of the audience with his rough, tough, gruff, yet compassionate and understanding manner.

Geeze, just like us, all the rugged heros are heading down the line...Eastwood, Stallone, Arnold, and DeNiro, to name a few. Even guys like Matt Damon and Brad Pitt are starting to lose a step. Who will some of the new mano e mano actors be?

Watched IRON MAN last night....I should say, a portion of it, I didn't think much of it, shut it down when he made the second suit and went into space....in my opinion, among other things, to many gaps and transitions weren't the best.....at least Spidey got bit by a weird spider to start the series.

I went to Friday the 13th this weekend, got to say it was pretty cool for a remake. It is kind of a combo of the originals parts 1-3, and there were some parts that tagged along with the original movies which is always kind of cool for remakes.

Also, Jason is a lot more intense which added to it.

I brought the wife to "He's just not that into you" it was actually really funny. They basically rip on how naive girls are through out the entire movie. And Scarlett Johanson is not too bad to look at either.

Role Models was a good one.

Watched Marley & Me the other day thought it was very boring from start to finish.

Also got in Seven Pounds with Will Smith, now that was a very good movie with a good story line one I would watch again.

Watched "Bobby" very interesting perspective of the

Robert F. Kennedy assassination. Thought the show was pretty good..

At the end of the movie hearing the speech

"On the Mindless Menace of Violence" by Robert F. Kennedy was powerful and even to the point in today's world as it was in 1968.

Been a while since I have heard that speech.

Ive seen a lot of these movies. I did not like Gran Torino that much. From the previews I thought I would love it. Just got really slow at time. But really good ending made it watchable. Fell asleep to Twilight. One of the most boring vampire movies Ive seen. Looking forward to the new Jim Carrey movie, Yes Man, thats coming out on Tuesday. Looks like Carrey back to his normal funny self. I also heard pretty good things about Last House On The Left. I have seen the original, so I kinda want to see the new one.
