a good friend of mine had his birthday yesterday and the day before his birthday his mother was sent to the hospital and 7 o clock yesterday she past away. The worst birthday present you could get.........

My prayers go out to his family. My dad passed away very unexpectedly a few months back at the age of 56. We go walleye fishing one week and days later he is gone. It really hurts at first, but it gets better with time.

I'm with ya fellow FM'ers...my father passed away 2 hours before we were to celebrate Christmas 1999. Passed away unexpectedly in his race car shop....best thing is, it was not uncommon in those days to send my 4 year old son out to the shop to "get grandpa" Glad we didn't that day.

6 years have passed, and my father and I weren't as close as many father/sons, but I still think about him daily.
