Northland Sportsman
2.99 in Hinckley and that is 40 cents higher then yesterday. I don't see it going down as long as we keep buying at the same rates. Why would the big petro companies lower prices if we keep buying the same amount at the higher cost? jig n' jerk
I cant believe it!! I am in Los Angeles right now for work and gas is only $2.97. The funny part is that it has been that way since monday when I arrived. Why do the prices go up in medium sized markets when Los Angeles's prices have remained steady. Everyone out here owns a hummer or some good awfully huge SUV and sits in traffic for hours on end. Can't wait to get home and do some fishing, even if I have to take a loan out for gas. hanson
I find it fascinating that the difference between the most expensive gas & least expensive gas in the Twin Cities is 53 cents. (According to twincitiesgasprice dot com when I last checked) Either a number of gas stations are breaking the law by selling gas under the legal minimum OR there are a number of gas stations raking in a pretty nice profit right now. FISHINGFARMER
Gas in Des Moines from $2.69 to $3.15 quite a price spread here to. Hold your shorts when truck lines start slowing deliveries to the high price of diesel. Without rail lines like in the past, maybe a long winter? Just my 2 cents worth. Tom Linderholm
Now heres a question, fill up all the vehicles now along with any spare tanks I may have in preparation for a shortage....or continue to gamble that the price will go down and there be no shortage? I have heard mixed reports of stations out of petrol.Whatdya think?
strat-o-caster
Hey everybody, we put ourselves in this postition, and I'm no better than anyone else. WE DRIVE EVERYWHERE!!! We drive to the bigger town's and let the store's in the small towns go out of business.. We drianed wetlands out in the counrty some we could build our homes farther away from our work... We let our kids all drive to school..I drive to where I fish every weekend 30 mile radius. We are spoiled... I not happy about the situation, but it seems small when compared to what happing in the middle east and down south. Oh well..... Strat
Bobby Bass
By filling all your cars/trucks and all your gas cans you add to the problem. You help create a shortage by taking gas out of the system and storing it. Sure you save a few dollars now. But you will burn the gas that you bought and you will used the stored gas in the cans. Meanwhile if you and others do this there is a run on gas. And really this would only help you out if you could store enough gas to run you through a gas storage not just a weeks worth of gas. Reminds me years ago when Carson announced on his show that there was a shortage of toilet paper. The next day people went out and bought toilet paper by the case. Guess what.. it created a shortage of toilet paper..Good point you had toilet paper for a year, bad point people bought the cheap stuff so they could buy more and then were left with it. Wait and see what happens after the holiday, I'll wager gas will ease up fuel oil on the other hand, we are going to get nailed there.. if you are on keep fill I'll wager the oil co. will be out to top your tank off this next week wether you need it or not...2.64 a gal up from a 1.60 this time last year.
