gvg- Is this hot lake you're referring to close to EC or to where you grew up? Cuz I don't know of any hot lakes around here other than maybe Butch's Bay in Menomonie. Am I missing out or what? Later.

Enjoy college while you can guys! The flexibility of your schedule in college is incredible and one I wish I had again at times.

-Don't feel like going to class and possibly going fishing instead (not that I'd recommend it). No problem.

-Want to take all of spring break week ice fishing on Upper Red. No problem

-A 3 week Christmas break. My oh my, what I would do with a 3 week vacation.

I had my class schedule for a full year with 3 day weekends. I wish I could swing that at work now. grin.gif

I've been done since Thursday the 9th here at MSU. I thought it was awesome until 40 degree days and wind came. I have very few plans over the break other than fishing and all I can say is that thank god for this little cold snap we got Sunday because I wouldn’t know what to do with my time off. I just got a new power auger and I'm about ready to fire it up in my apartment and drill a hole through the floor down to our neighbors.

I went out around Mankato last night to give things a try for the first time this season but there wasn't enough ice so I came home.

I plan to get out around home on Thursday.

Just remember young gun's, On average, in 1999, bachelor’s degree recipients earned nearly a million dollars – $942,000 – more than high school graduates; those with master’s degrees or more earned some $1.6 million more than high school grads over the course of their working lifetimes. STAY IN SCHOOL wink.gif

I'm glad I have the luxury of going to school where we have a sufficient amount of ice now. Although I do have finals until next Monday. I feel bad for Jmnhunter who has until the 22nd! What a trabackal! grin.gif Don't have class tomorrow or Thursday so I hope I can find some fish biting. Good luck to everyone on their finals!

Yeah finals suck, but we do get a lot more time off than most people. I got my last final friday and I have nothing to do until then, its too bad I left my ice fishing gear at the cabin.

Like hanson said you got to enjoy it while it lasts. I had the best hunting season of my life this year. I go to school in fargo and we get ND resident licences and I went duck hunting every week. And now that I'm done playing high school hockey I'm gonna be ice fishing more than ever too.

this is one awesome post. props to whoever started it.

finals week for me ended on monday after studyingall weekend. made sure to get out on sat. afternoon for a break and glad i did. biggest walleye of life was the reward.

finishing monday was liking taking a dump after not having done so in a week. so releived and new life.

still have tests but they are of the easy sort where i can study at night for them.

manage to bird hunt or ice fish bout every day this week.

i am going to cry when college is over and i cant maintain this regiment of hunting and fishing.

does anybody else plan their class schedule around hunting and ice fishing like me and gonefishin11 do here in fargo...?

I'll be done for the semester at BSU today @ 100 pm, finals dont start until next, but my all my instructors wrapped everything up early-bad a$$. I'll be out on the water for the next week and a half.

Gophish: I try to plan classes around huntin if I can, but sometimes the classes that I need are at times that I don't like.
