I will be hunting in Milaca Sect. 222. Last year I passed on a six pointer the first day and was rewarded the second day by harvesting a 10 pointer...this year we have scouted quite a bit a have seen numerous 6-8 pointers, and to top it off we have seen a 12-pointer around!!! I hope to see him around 7:00 a.m. on saturday morning!!!!

Good luck to all the FM Boys!!!Be Safe!!

I will also be in 222, we are just south of the new four-brooks WMA on a 900 acre lease. Me and two other guys are the only ones brave enough to cross a swamp so we have a 280 almost to ourselves. Didn't even hunt it last year but during my scouting this year there has been a lot of sign and from what I have heard the bucks are really on the move. Should be a good COLD opener! Good luck everyone and be safe out there.

4B 440 Minnesota River Valley
Cant' wait.

Danny Berg,
where in the Glenwood area do you hunt? I grew up in Starbuck and hunt a lot of state land all around the Starbuck/Glenwood/Alexandria area with my bow.

Good luck all!

fisher98, I hunt north of where you are. I am a little south of Highway 27 about 8 miles west of Onamia. Tha last time I was up was 3 weeks ago and did not see much for scrapes/rubs at that time but lots of other sign and even seen a few deer thru-out the day while we were working on stands. Talking to people near by that live in the area, there are lots around. I have 80 acres up in this area. All Woods, some of it is low land so last year was pretty wet but this year is bone dry. Should be good. Good Luck
