added two folding legs to the bunk that take the majority of the weight now. Also got the satellite hooked up! Hoping this Saturday will be the first trip for it out on the lake. Really excited other than a forecast low of -25 to -30 below and highs around -10 to -15, should be a good test for the furnace and insulation anyways. I tested it out last night to see how long it’d take to heat up from cold (right around 0 degrees outside) to 70, it was just over 30 min but I turned the burners on to speed it up. The house is pretty much done, just have a couple little things left. I’ll try remember to post some pics of how the first trip goes

I suppose the membrane uses an adhesive then what did you trim around the edges with?  Had you considered the 1 piece galvanized from American Surplus.

For how easy the rubber roof was to install I’ll stick with that every time. There’s termination bars that I used all the way around it and of course the adhesive as well, I want to say I used the latex one but not 100%.

How much does it weigh?

Never weighed it, figured around 3K but not sure. 

 

Been out 5 days in the house already, first weekend in it the outside temp was -30 for a low and -15 to -20 for highs and it stayed at 70+ without a problem!

 

Watching football/tv while fishing has  been awesome!

Slimball burbot and the biggest tullibee I’ve ever seen. I’m sure they get plenty bigger but that thing was fun to catch. I didn’t think I’d personally use the rattle reels much, if at all, but gotta say I’m really glad I put them in.

 

 

Can’t wait to get back out this weekend, tight lines!

Nice house. You got yourself a lake whitefish, not a tullibee (cisco). Downturned mouth is a dead giveaway.

I tried burbot (pout) for the first time last weekend and it was delicious! Cubed the pieces and boiled in 7up, then dipped in butter. Needless to say I’ll be keeping them from now on! 

 

Brought my best buddy out for the first time the last couple days, I think he enjoyed it as much as I did

They seem a little tougher to come by now that they’ve gained some respect as table fare.  If they were as thick as back in the 70’s - 80’s I’d be happy. 

 

Glad you’re enjoying your house and getting your pooch out!   Theyd rather be on the ice than at home too!!
