Well, I hit the big 3-8 today.  B-days are no big deal to me .  I'm not afraid of growing old (as I'm OBVIOUSLY getting better), so I'm not ignoring it - it's just another day.  In fact you gotta set aside 30 minutes just to manage all the Facebook messages you get (If you do the Facebook thing).

Anyway, one thing to look forward to is the good eats.  My wife picked up fresh donuts from the bakery this morning as I'm not a straight-up cake fan.  She's gonna bake some fresh carmel rolls this weekend when we have some more time.  Then I had a great lunch with my awesome coworkers at Pepito's in South Minneapolis - all you can eat Taco bar - one of my favorite places to eat in the cities.  Lunch was too big and the weather sucks!  So we're going out to dinner to celebrate tomorrow at the Ranchero supper club in Webster, MN.  Fantastic German and American Fare.  Not sure what I'm getting but I bet it ends in "Schnitlzel," "Braten" or "Wurst."

Congratulations on another year of avoiding death, I hope you have many more.

Also anything ending in wurst, schnitzel, or braten is a good way to celebrate.  One of my favorite b-day places is the Winzer Stube in Hastings.  A couple beers, a couple brandy old fashions and a plate full of wurst is always a good time.

You guys sure did.  My commute to and from work is usually about 45 minutes.  On my B-day, we got all that snow down here and I tied my longest commute ever - about 2 hrs and 50 minutes.  The worst part was, 80% of that was within 5 miles of my office.  Stupid city drivers, can't handle a little snow.:mad:  I can say that because I live in the stix (at least compared to the guys that live within the 494/694 loop.

Anyway, we had to put off the dinner until last night, but it was awesome.  Now my wife's got the dough rising for fresh Carmel roles tomorrow morning.  So it's been a great few days!

I knew the second I typed that it that one of you guys would go there!  Reminds me of a good joke, but It's probably just outside the boundaries of the strict decorum on this page.  Wouldn't wanna offend, traumatize or cause pain to the Bernie supporters :lol:
