All the other guys are Fletch trades. All the DR junk is gone now from what I can see.

Yep I was mostly commenting on how active Fletcher has been, it can sometimes be a shock to the system of MN fans who experienced all those years with DR.

Should be an interesting game tonight, Sens just won 5 in a row including wins over LA, SJ & the Ducks. They are a little ways out of the playoffs right now but have some games in hand so they likely bring it tonight.

I believe we got Coyle from the Sharks in the Burns trade.

Interesting...Russo is reporting both Fletch and Yeo are now admitting that up till the recent trades the Wild did have a size toughness problem and were easily bullied around....glad they finally addressed that issue!

You guy's remember Kanopka's first shift wearing a wild jersey,if my memory is right he tangled with mclown not much into the game. I'm not saying Stewart needs to go right away on Sunday but he's going to have to put aside skating in the past with the clown. I scored some tics to Sundays game a while back, should be fun.

Good game and win tonight. #1 star of the game had to be the iron. That sequence of 3 straight was crazy.
Wasn't it fitting that the Senator player who hit 2 pipes on that one shift, hit the pipe in the shootout?

Not a pretty win, but great game by Dumba. He is really getting into the play and making some nice plays.

Stewart had a nice assist so that is good to see. It will be fun to watch that line develop some chemistry.

That Parise line is really slumping right now. I have said if for quite a few games, but it is really unlike them to be held scoreless this long.

Grandlund has been good lately, I think 7 points in the past 6 games but Pommers and Parise have been quiet.

Loving Dumba more and more, kid has taken a big step this year.

Not too worried about Parise or Pom...they'll produce..just not happening right now..depth is carrying us.

As for Dumba...saw that coming...the kid is an O-threat with ability to see the play develop ahead of him...big time accurate shot, and fast enough to recover when he finds himself out of position (which at this point is a little too often IMO) but I'll take the O production and let Dubs save his behind for now wink

The 4th line IMO is playing well and scoring because they shoot and crash. When the other lines figure that out we will be scoring 4 goals per game. How many times does a player for the Wild pass when they have the puck in the slot or have a clear lane to the net? Very frustrating to watch especially in close games.

Agreed. He looks like he's two moves ahead of everyone in a chess match where he knows the outcome. He's really come on strong of late! For one sequence in the third last night I think he passed to himself and then passed to himself again, lol. He's pretty slick with the stick.

I keep wondering if Duubs is going to have a let down game and come back to earth but it hasn't happened yet. If I was a goalie in the NHL, I'd want to play for the wild. They just make goalies shine. I can't think of the last time Duubs has been yard saled.

Back to back coming up with 3 night games in 4 days. Throw in the travel and I'm wondering if they are considering resting Dubs for the Carolina game. Carolina is .500 in their last 10. They gotta be polishing up their golf clubs right about now.

I suppose Keumps is rusty as %#$! having not played in near forever, so I guess there's our answer.

If we win tonight resting Dubs a period or two before Kumeper gets pulled isn't a bad idea. I think I am kidding but I honestly don't know right now. I'd almost feel more secure with Curry as out backup ahead of the K/B tandem.

Vanek, Coyle and the new guys have been quiet lately. wink

Schroeder is too good to be riding the pine, if Nino can play tomorrow it might be time to slide Haula to center and park Brodz despite his solid play.

    • Truly sorry to hear that duffman! I know that feeling.  Keep the good memories
    • Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday. What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures. Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
    • Sounds pretty sweet, alright. I will check them out, thanks.
    • If you really want to treat your wife (and yourself) with a remote operated trolling motor, the Minn Kota Ulterra is about easy as it gets.  Auto stow and deploy is pretty awesome.  You just have to turn the motor on when you go out and that the last time you have to touch it.   24V 80lb.  60 inch shaft is probably the right length for your boat.  They ain’t cheap - about $3k - but neither one of you would have to leave your seat to use it all day.
    • Wanderer, thanks for your reply. I do intend for it to be 24 volt, with a thrust of 70-80. Spot lock is a must (my wife is looking forward to not being the anchor person any more).  With my old boat we did quite a lot of pulling shad raps and hot n tots, using the trolling motor. Unlikely that we will fish in whitecaps, did plenty of that when I was younger. I also need a wireless remote, not going back to a foot pedal. We do a fair amount of bobber fishing. I don't think I will bother with a depth finder on the trolling motor. I am leaning toward moving my Garmin depth finder from my old boat to the new one, just because I am so used to it and it works well for me. I am 70 years old and kinda set in my ways...
    • Dang, new content and now answers.   First, congrats on the new boat!   My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V.  80 might be tops?  I’m partial to MinnKota.     How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.     All weather or just nice weather?   Casting a lot or bait dragging?   Bobber or panfish fishing?   Spot lock?  Networked with depth finders?  What brand of depth finders?
    • We have bought a new boat, which we will be picking up this spring. It is an Alumacraft Competitor 165 sport with a 90 horse Yamaha motor. I will be buying and installing a trolling motor,  wondering if I can get some recommendations on what pound thrust I will want for this boat?  Also, I will be selling my old boat, is there a good way to determine the value on an older boat ( mid-80's with a 75 horse 2-stroke  Mariner motor)  I will appreciate any help with these questions.
