I need to find me one of those "rare earth magnets" that merk was showing off at the gtg... they take up a lot less space than the big one I used to use, and a little para cord on it should be able to retrieve just about anything that goes kerploop...

Working on a deal that might produce a couple. smile

Well speared the am got out on the lake holes drilled and realized I didn't have my ice saw so I drilled all the holes around. Got home no saw to be found must have left it at the landing the other week. Not a happy person right now

I just had that happen with my ice tongues last week MrKlean. Looked for them in the garage in the morning before leaving. Found them on the ice later in the morning. They were there for about a week. I got lucky they were covered with just enough snow I suppose.

Bummer on the saw.

Fishing was poor for trout so we made a sled run into a lake that we portaged in on this summer. The pike were willing to play but the water was much more tanic than I remembered. Had a spoon down about 5' and the decoy was down about 4' in 10' of water. The spoon got hit so hard that it popped the hub on the porty. I could not see the fish. Bummed frown

Did score several on tip ups but it's always more fun to play with them in the shack.

New ideas and adventures tomorrow. Have a couple ideas for a spearing lake in the area so we will see.

No spearing for me this weekend, sore back. First time in a few years that I missed a whole weekend. We did chase some pannies yesterday, even that was tough to do.(pain wise) My dad, wife, and i, ended up with about twenty nice sunfish.

I should have brought some tip ups. The guys that had them out were having fun. I saw three caught that were over ten, another one was lost at the hole, and a few smaller ones too. This was all in about 3-4 hours.
