mntatonka
I traded in my SX3 smooth bore for an FN SLP 12ga with a rifled barrel. Essentially the same exact gun, just a different logo on it. It took nearly 6 months to find one, but it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. Just a bit high at 50 yards on the bench, open sights. I rarely have a shot that's more than 30 yards, so I'm extremely happy with how it tested. Of course, I rarely have a standing still shot, so that makes things a wee bit more difficult. Something about being near the side of a drive makes the deer move by you really quickly.I'll be throwing green death at them, brenneke green lightning slugs. jerkbait
I will be toting my trusty Remington 700 BDL classic 7mm Weatherby mag with a 3x9 Nikon on it. Shooting 175 grain weatherbys. echotrail
A Browning A bolt 30.06 with a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x scope and using Winchester 150 powermax. After 31 years of using a Remmington 742 Woodsmaster 30.06 semi auto it's hard to remember I need to re-chamber a round manually.
nofishfisherman
I'm not shooting anything fancy or exotic. I'll be carrying a .270 Savage Axis with bushnell scope and shooting Core Lokts. Its an inexpensive set up but shoots well. My first 4 shots at 100 yards last weekend were within a 2 inch group right on the bull.

Musky Buck
30.06 BDL Remington bolt of course purchased in 1983 for $389.99 I see today they are on sale for $777.00 with 180 grain core lokt Remingtons with an ok Simmons 3x9. Backup artillery is 30.06 Winchester I believe with a 2x7 wide Redfield, dads heater and he quit deer hunting 180 federals out of that gun lol or a .303 British with 180 core lokt remingtons and also a M 1 30 carbine with whatever bullets they make for it but we really don't use that, we'd go with our muzzleloaders Thompson center Black mountain magnums if we had to, 50 cal with 370 grain maxiballs with original powder. TruthWalleyes
CVA Optima 50Cal 3x9x40 scope150gr powder behind a Barnes T-EZ 250 .451 Have also grouped the MZ's, same ballistics, WAY harder to load but BARK louder than anything i've ever shot out of the ML due to the compression from the tight loading sabot. Shot close to 30 rounds this fall to expand my range. Zero at 200yds. Very happy with the accuracy of this rifle.By far my preferred weapon for hunting deer. 1 Shot, 1 Deer. Wanderer
Put me in ML crowd for my primary stand hunting weapon. TC Pro Hunter with 3x9 Nikon BDR scope. 2 pellets of White Hots pushing a 250 grain Hornady FTX wrapped in a tight fitting sabot. I don't like to run more than 2 shots without patching the barrel due to the tight fit but I love the accuracy. My groups have been as tight as the holes touching in the bullseye at 100 yards. My back up and "drive" gun will be my trusty Browning A bolt in .300 Win Mag with a 3x9 Swarovski scope, shooting 200 grain Trophy Bonded bullets. Yowza, that gun has killed some deer! I'm usually picked to be one of the standers since the gun is zeroed at 200 yards and I don't mind getting high up in a tree if needed to cover a clearing.
