It's being reported the Adrian Peterson's 2 y.o. son has been beaten into critical condition by his son's mother's boyfriend. AP is in Souix Falls to be with his son. It sounds as though he was strangled and has head injuries...

Prayers out for his son and a complete recovery...

Good Luck!

Ken

Quote from NFLSPIN.com "Football is a game! Go be with your son AP" great comment and soo true. This story makes me sick to my stomach! Thoughts are with Adrian. Like his life was a cake walk in the first place. He is a great dude, and just happens I be the best RB, excuse me, best player in the NFL. Hope everything turns out okay for him and his family...

It is amazing to me how he turned out considering everything that has gone on in his life.

Now this? How do you move on when its your own child? I cannot even imagine what he must be going through.

I hope he recovers and that rat bastard gets what's coming to him for doing this!!!!

There is now a report saying the kid was not his son. Who knows with the f'in media, but something has to be going on for him to miss practice...

I'm with ya CaptainMusky for this guy to be where he is going through what he did growing up is amazing. Just watch the ESPN e60 to see what he's gone through.

What a surprise! a boyfriend assaults and or kills the mothers baby. This happens all too often and unfortunately is a result of todays younger culture. Thoughts go out to Adrian Peterson and his family. This guy will get his appropriate treatment in prison which is no place for child murderers. Not to preach but the whole culture that enables this behavior and the results of it has to change. Another child's life cut short by a violent, repeat offender.

Sounded like Adrian just found out about this child not long ago, which is odd since you'd think the mom would have been after any child support for the last 2 years.

Very sad deal. All I know is, Mom isn't getting any money from AP now.

I was thinking too that the mother's 18 year plan just went away.

I share the sense of tragedy and the anger towards the perp, but have no sympathy or condolences for Adrian. I'd weep for a dad who forged a relationship with his two year old through changing diapers, walking him and holding him when he's colicky in the middle of the night or rubbing cold ice cubes or teething rings on his sore gums, etc. The fact appears to be Adrian was but a direct deposit sperm donor without benefit of the tube and refrigerator. I think Peterson's a class act in the increasingly classless world of professional sports. My prayer is that Peterson will be inspired to assume his responsibility for the tragedy of a child dying without ever having a Dad to care for and protect him. He will have far more impact as a sinner than he will ever have as a victim.

Why do I have this feeling there is more to this story...a lot more. Something is not passing the smell test.

Yep

A smiling AP during interviews afterwards is very odd.

But he's probably like a lot of professional athletes, with random offspring running around the country.

Had he no prior knowledge of the kid, (to me) that would explain his public emotional reaction.

I think its obvious he had very little if any relationship with the kid. It is interesting to see all the sympathy and condolences go out to Adrian while he is smiling with the media and on the practice field. You almost got the sense when he was talking that he was trying to keep a somber look as best he could. Sad and horrifying deal regardless.

The child support thing crossed my mind too. Why was she living in this dudes apartment? You would think she would have been getting a massive amount of cash flow from AP's checking account...Not sure how much a gal would get from 12 million a year but its got to be pretty hefty.

Does it really matter the circumstances of his "fatherhood" ? Good lord its obvious the arm chair quarterbacks don't stop in their on the field expertise.

None of you know the facts of this "relationship" so why even comment? Will it change the fact that this little boy is dead?

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
