Yeah, no freeze up in the picture (though I have seen some small ponds frozen over in my area here near St Cloud). But if you go by those following the forum, ice fishing is definitely on top!

At least the guides weren't iced up this time.

Dumb. Stupid. Oh well. glad I like to fish water that's moving and rarely outside of 40-60 degrees

That's always a sad thing. This will be my first weekend not going to Vermilion since April.

This is Minnesota and ice fishing is big and a great way to pass the winter months. However, I'm also bummed on the day I pull the batteries out of the boat. However, the Otter, Strikemaster and other gear is ready to go. I also get my open water itch satisfied by taking a couple of trips each winter for saltwater and some March crappie fishing in KY. Lake Superior is also nearby for winter Kamloops fishing.

Was holding out hope that I'd get the boat out one last time but I decided to winterize it tomorrow.

Mine got put away yesterday. The boat is stored, one canoe is stored, and one more is getting hung this week. When that happens, the garage gets a good cleaning and the ice stuff makes it's season debut...in the garage.
