I think I dislike the Jets and Cowboys more than any other football teams out there...Both get so much attention and have been underachieving teams in the last few years yet get so much media attention it is silly....the Patriots are ok with me

I'm ok with the Patriots. I think most of the hatered of the Patriots stems from Belichick. He's a great coach but he's not winning anyone over with his smug arrogant attitude. He always gives the vibe that he thinks he's above everyone else.

Same thing with the Jets. Rex Ryan is the biggest goof in the league and he makes it pretty hard to like the Jets.

For me the only team in sports that I really dislike is the Yankees. Although my dislike for them is probably stems more from jealousy then anything. I wish the Twins had an owner willing to spend the money needed to win championships. You add that with the national media yankee love fest and it makes me hate the yankees.

I don't even hate the Packers. But I have to many Packer loving friends that are fun to mess with since they get so mad at every Packer loss.

If a team puts a good product on the field, I respect that. I don't care at all when good teams win. The Patriots, Steelers, and 49er's BUG me, because in my lifetime, they kick everyones a$$. But there are 3 teams in the National Football league that I hate for their character and personality that their team has adopted.

1. The Dallas Cowboys. Jerry jones can take that big tv and shove it sideways up his a$$.

2. The New York Jets. Rex Ryan absolutely is the most disgusting, annoying personality in football.

3. The Greenbay Packers. The Greenbay fanbase is the most obnoxious fanbase in all of professional sports.

Honorary mentions: The New Orleans Saints and Washington Redskins. Drew Brees is the biggest phony P.O.S in the NFL. I historically like the 'Skins but the RG3 guy does not seem like a standup guy, call me a bad judge of character, I don't care, everything that comes out of RG3's mouth seems all too disingenuous.

I like the Yankees. NYC is one of my favorite towns, and at least the yanks win when they spend money. Unlike their whiny counterparts in Boston...

I will never cheer for the yanks over the twins or orioles though, I dig the scrappy teams a lot more.

My list of teams I can't stand:

1. WI BADGERS (only WI franchise I just can't stand)

2. BOSTON RED SOX

3. Steelers (I honestly think this is because I grew up in Apple Valley and the Burnsville color scheme makes me really mad)

You are right there is no requirement to hate a team. I was just commenting on how silly sports are in general when you really think about it. Why do any of us put so much effort into liking a team, or hating a team for those of us that do have a team we hate. Either way its kind of silly since its all just a game.

I like any team that has the bals to try and win a championship every yr. That leaves us out here in minny.

I don't like that the Yankees are allowed to outspend everyone else to create a perennial powerhouse, but I don't hate the Yankees. There are some good guys like Jeter that are worth cheering for these days...versus his d-bag teammate Rodriguez.

The Patriots are a good team. I don't like Belichek because I don't like cheaters (see Rodriguez above) but Brady is one of the best QBs of all time. Their owner is a gem and they consistently draft good talent. We should all envy that.

IMO it is small-minded to hate other people/teams purely because of their success.
