BuckSutherland
I bet Peyton will be in a Jets uniform by the end of the month. Not too many people left that can stomach the dreadful QB play of Dirty Sanchez. How that guy is an NFL QB continues to perplex me. Manning is gonna be gone from the Colts and he is gonna want to win. The team is already pretty well built and I am sure he will get to bring some pieces with him. Its a perfect fit. Then I can watch another NY pro sports team hoist another trophey and my level of disgust and belief that pro sports are rigged will rise. zepman
That may happen Buck! I guess if we're guessing...my pick is Arizona and Fitz.Isn't Arizona the place where all old people go and retire...??

fishinphilth
Lou Nanne stated that when he was in Miami last week he heard that they will do anything to get him there.
Tator2k
Plus I heard he's got another home there and likes the area in Miami
bassfshin24
I would stay about from the Jets just because of Rex Ryan..what a piece of work.
nofishfisherman
He may like Miami but why would he want to go there? Are they that close to winning a title? If I were the 49ers I'd be calling Manning ASAP. Alex Smith had a good year last year but with a healthy Manning the 49ers would be super bowl favorites. They have the defense, the running game, and recieving threats. TR21HP
Do you honestly see Harbaugh who calls every play getting along with Manning who wants to control the offense? Not a good mix. harbaugh is a control freak that wants his hands in everything.
hawgchaser
I think it will be either Miami or Houston with an edge toward Houston...Great defense, good offensive support and the ability to make history with a first Super Bowl trophy.Wherever he goes, he'll bring class to the team. It was refreshing to watch the announcement after several days of watching bounty sewage flowing.

muskE
On CCO today at lunch they were talking the Vik's! Not a fan of his, but he could potentially help stir up interest in a new stadium.
LABS4ME
zeeeeeeeero chance he will come here. Probably a better chance getting Archie Manning back here than Peyton.I say Miami or the Cards...Good Luck!Ken
hawgchaser
Was watching NFL 32 go through the 14 teams without super high investments in the quarterback as possible Manning destinations. Vikings were on the list, but the commentators blew through the Vikings ans a "no" so fast, I had to hit the rewind button to listen again. Sorry about that Vikes. (we Packers fans are sensitive like that, don't ya' know)

mrklean
no chance for the vikes none at all, i think he will go to miami dude already has a house there and the team is very good just needs a QB, plus wayne will probably go where Payton goes so they would have some good WRs there
james_walleye
No way be goes to the jets I'm curious as to your reasoning? This is a superbowl caliber team with a good QB. Certainly more in place with the jets than there is in Miami or Az.
klecker
Houston Texans.
mrklean
Payton is one of the smartest players of all time, do you think he would really want to play for Rex Ryan and the circus they have there, plus they play outdoors in cold weather and Payton has never done well in those conditions. He has played in a dome his entire NFL career, in college he went to a warm weather school, miami is warm so he wont have to worry about the cold unless they travel. klecker
That’s why he will go to the Texans. Have way more pieces to the puzzle than Miami. He also gets at a minimum nine games inside a year. Best chance for a title.
hawgchaser
The Jets have the core talent to be attractive. I believe the jets media seekers both on the team and in Rex, disqualify them from ANY consideration by Peyton. ESPN reports that 12 teams have contacted Manning at the present time. I hope that, after Manning is resigned, his agent will give the public the total number of calls and messages received in the 48 hours immediately following the announcement. dozens? hundreds? Nick Kuhn
Texans are fine at QB when Schaub returns. I could see the 49ers, Cards, Raiders, Dolphins, Browns, Redskins, or Seahawks. Jets maybe, but really other than the Vikings I think most teams are set on QBs. My guess is it will be someplace out west (49ers, Cardinals, or Raiders). All of them could be competitive with a good QB, and they have good targets in place to throw to. I think he'd be an excellent match with either Gore or McFadden coming out of the backfield. YiGGiN4SLoBS
Whoever offers him the most $ and incentives is where hes gonna go. Hes human, just like the rest of us! Plus hes gonna bring Reggie Wayne with him which will upgrade any wr's said team has already. Thats gonna cost $ too... Whos got the most cap space out of all of those teams? mrklean
Won't go to Oakland they gave up way to much for palmer to dump him for payton
TR21HP
Yiggin, Peyton has more money than he knows what to do with. He's going to go to a team that gets him a ring. It's all about the rings and Peyton's camp is going to be setting a minimum offer that will get him and I don't believe there is going to be much difference between teams. It's my belief that Peyton has already got his team in mind, he hasn't been sitting around for months without planning an exit strategy. Ever since the Colts fired the front office and coaches it's been all too apparent that Manning wasn't part of the plan and the team was going in a different direction.
