LMITOUT
I think there have been a few updates since then. I know that I updated it once before picking up the wifi bacpac and then had to again afterwards. I've never seen a changelog of what the updates do. LMITOUT
My new set-up for hunting this fall. Won't miss a thing.

MuleShack
So is that 9D or 10D? What would really be cool with that is if they had the 360 degree covered and then be able to play that back somehow so you can visualize the experience from all angles. It would need to be in a theater with wrap around screen and not a computer monitor. There you go, the next evolution after 3D, the 360 experience! "360E" mark you calendars. rundrave
I see wallymart has the gopro hd hero for $129. Cheap enough to perk my interest, but is it going to lack compared to the gopro2?I would use it for ATV trips and maybe some pheasant hunting if it can get the job done? Think it will work for these situations?
delcecchi
What is their return policy? Best way to know if it works for you is to try it.
Jim Uran
I bought one at wally world for that price a month ago or so. It works just fine!! Worth every penny.

MNUser
My students and I sent one to 85,000 plus feet attached to a helium balloon. Follow the link to watch the vid. It is a big file so it may take a bit to load. Worth it. The camera worked great. Shot the video at 1080i. http://hab.forestviewmultimedia.com/june_launch.movThe clicking you hear in the background is the GoPro catching the sound of the two Canon cameras that were along for the ride. They were programmed to take pictures every 15 seconds. Some of the pictures taken at 85,000 plus feet are spectacular. You can learn more about it if you just visit the URL. Remove the june_launch.mov part of the URL. There are some good pictures of the Brainerd Lakes area.
Jim Almquist
The GoPro app for Iphones is now out. It is much easier to setup the camera now and see all of your setting on one page. Now just get the live preview and it will be a great little app. Your password when connecting to the WiFi is goprohero unless you have changed it. That is the default. Borch
Anyone use the contour camera? I see they have a nice waterproof case with a downrigger attachment for some neat underwater shots.I've been bouncing back and forth between the Go Pro and the Contour. bassNspear
do they work in water?
bassNspear
i would like to use this for spearing and shoot video and take photos
LMITOUT
The GoPro's are waterproof when placed in their enclosure. You can dive with them.I would think you could easily rig up something that would hang the GoPro just below the water surface to record fish coming into the decoy. It would be pretty darn cool! Jim Almquist
My WiFi bacpac needed 1 more update. I now can preview through the Iphone as well as change any of the settings. Very Cool!!!!!!!It is all that I hoped it would be and more!!!!

PierBridge
Quote:The GoPro app for Iphones is now out. I believe there is an Android app too!The Contour looks pretty sweet!
Jim Almquist
Sure, rub it in. (Android user here) Sorry about that They have to be close to getting the Android app out soon.
LMITOUT
I would think so. There is a link to the Google App store on the GoPro Wi-Fi accessory page but it is grayed out right now which would make me think it won't be long. Farley
so the wi-fi kit is a must have? been tossing around getting it. Got an Iphone and got the app. It would be nice to be able to see what you're aiming at before hitting record. I think you also get a remote? That would be sweet. bassNspear
im sold
Jim Almquist
You get the remote but once you have the app you will not want to use the remote. It is so much easier to change you settings with your phone. You only really need to turn on the WiFi bacpac and from there you can turn on the camera and do what ever your heart desires. LMITOUT
You can buy the Wi-Fi Bacpac without the remote and save $40. Since the app is out (or soon to be out for Android) it might be the way to go.
Farley
Product description:The original HD HERO is only compatible with the Wi-Fi Remote and does not support GoPro App and video + photo live streaming. Dang. I got the regular old Hero.
