Scott K
Quote:Vikings released WR Bernard Berrian.Berrian's off-field antics far outweighed his on-field production. He was a healthy scratch in Week 5 for missing meetings and was inactive again last Sunday. When in uniform, Berrian was among the least productive receivers in the NFL, catching just seven passes for 91 yards in five games despite seeing 23 targets. The Vikings will go forward with Percy Harvin, Michael Jenkins and Devin Aromashodu as their top three wideouts.

Dave S
shouldn't this open up a roster spot to hopefully bring in someone to fill a hole in the defense? All the better if Cook gets the hatchet as well.I wouldn't hold out any hope for Harvin being very productive this year. He re-injured his ribs in Sunday's game. Dave S
Give T.Owens a call.. He should fit right in with this dysfunctional team. He'll be the next over-paid under-achiever that will be benched because he can't keep his cake-hole shut. No worries though. I don't think the Vikes will sign TO. TO = UH OH!
Scott K
No TO please! Cook has potential, so I doubt we will cut him, even though he will more then likely be either in jail, or be facing a suspension, or both. If we pick up anyone, we either need to address our secondary, or our poor excuse of an offensive line.
Scott K
Although I say that, and this comes out I now think they need to cut him, public image is important when trying to lobby for a new stadium. Quote: The Hennepin County Attorney's Office has filed a felony domestic assault strangulation charge against Vikings CB Chris Cook.According to the original complaint, Cook twice strangled his girlfriend and struck her in the ear. Authorities had until today to file a charge or release Cook, and he ended up getting the more serious of the two possible charges. The Viking shouldn't count on having Cook available for this week's game against the Panthers.
EBass
They cut McKinnie for being over weight. I think that strangling a woman would be a no brainer. NFL (Not for Long) will lay the smack down on him.
mrklean
ha read what he said after he was let off on the gun charges from earlier this year, he said he needed to step back when he gets mad and stay cool....worked well this time didnt it
SkunkedAgain
Chris Cook tweeted that there are two sides to every story. Ha, that may be true but there aren't two sides to physically strangling another human being. There isn't. No way no how. I think this tells you what kind of man he is and what he will continue to be...not a man.

I think this tells you what kind of man he is and what he will continue to be...not a man. You might want to wait until he's been proven guilty before assaulting his manhood. Nah, that wouldn't be any fun at all! Congrats you Vikes fans on Berrian's dismissal.
SkunkedAgain
The police report stated that in addition to the bruises on her neck that one of her eyes was bulging, which is an indicator of strangulation. If she did that to herself then she deserves some kind of acting nomination. Otherwise I'm fine to presume guilty on this one...especially a guy with a temper. reinhard1
well with eye's bulging that tells me something. i think it tells prosecuters things also. if that is accurate [and i dont doubt the police report] than he should be gone from the vike's and into a jail. good bye to cook. Steve Foss
America, land of the judge, jury and executioner. Where every day is judgment day, and every citizen knows the truth. God bless America! I covered cops, courts and crime for several years at a daily newspaper. I know how hard their jobs are, and I know how often the police and prosecutors (including the background info on criminal complaints) are wrong, so nowadays I wait to pass judgment, and when I feel like passing judgment, I count to 10, realize I'm just as fallible as anyone else, and hopefully don't give in to the arrogance of presumption. But y'all go right on with it. So what should the Vikes do with Berrian's open spot?
Scott K
That spot has been filled like so 5 hours ago Quote: Vikings signed WR Stephen Burton from the practice squad. The seventh-rounder out of Texas A&M is a size/speed prospect, who struggled with drops and route running in training camp. His biggest contribution to the Vikings will come on special teams this season. I just didnt think it was all that news worthy.
leech~~
Give T.Owens a call.. A 37 year old with a bum knee? Huum, may fit right in with the last two old QB's and washed up old WR we last had!
FISHINGURU
I like T.O, I don't think he would be a good signing for the Vikes though where we are at right now.I think Burton has some potential, at this point of the season we might as well see what our young guys have in them. I'd rather give Aromashadu time over Berrian so I'm glad he's gone, he's been a waste of money. I think Camarillo can step in and do some good things also, I don't think we've gave him enough opportunity since we aquired him.Peace out Berrian, learn to catch when the ball hits you in the numbers. Right on. Camarillo was and still can be a good possession receiver. That's exactly what I young QB needs and exactly what the Vikings have been lacking. He may not be the complete answer, but like Jenkins and Shianco did on Sunday, Camarillo might blossom with Ponder. The last thing that the Vikings need is another locker room cancer. TO is exactly that. I like that Frazier is sending guys packing who don't put in the effort or take the high road in life. TO would be a 180. Fish Head
The problem with Camarillo is that both he and Percy play the same position. They both play slot. Neither one is very effective wide.
FISHINGURU
Run 4 wide and you can play them both in the slot.
