Nick Kuhn
It almost makes you wonder if there isn't some side betting going on in the NFL: "Who can spot the Vikings the most points, and then come back and win the game?"I'm not sure what needs to be done. Frazier needs to put together 2 completely different gameplans: and run plan B in the second half no matter how well A worked in the first half. schmitty3
AP virtually gets taken out of the game in the second half every time because each teams just starts stacking the box daring them to throw. Then you got mcnabb short hopping guys wide open ten yards down the field. They've gotta run more deep routes, not go's just some crosses over the middle of the field 15 20 yrds down. Then Mcnabb's gotta make that throw which he hasn't done all season. The Lions had 9 guys in the box almost every play that second half and we still couldn't make one throw down the field. Im ready to see what Ponder can do.

Jarrid Houston
O Line could help outa little to. It is beyond jealous when guys like Brady can sit back sometimes and just wait. They have gotta figure it out. Super frustrating when this team could be a 3-0 team if they can hold leads.......cmon man!!!!!!!!!!
reinhard1
we are 3 games into the season. anything can happen. at least we made history. being the only team in NFL history to be ahead by double didgets by the first half and lose the game. now we have padded the history books by adding another game for someone else to probably never beat. i still like frazier as coach and this is his first full year as head coach. next week a win for sure . good luck. WyoChris
I like the idea of having McNabb play the first half, then put in the Ponder for the second half
MuleShack
Was listening to the Frasier press conf today this caught my ear.First thing he said was that they were going to work with Djack to work on his foot work and his timing. I'm thinking this guy has been in the league for 13 years, if he doesn't have it down by now.... Why not spend that training and get Ponders feet wet and get him the additional reps?It sure seems like Djack is just in it to collect a pay check...IMO
goblueM
might come as a shock to you, but footwork and timing change depending on the offense
MuleShack
might come as a shock to you, but footwork and timing change depending on the offense Timing with the receivers, yesbut foot work for a 13 year vet that has played since high school...please.If I needed training on my job after being paid millions, how long would that last.Djack seems to be a sight passer anyway, he has not timing. Jarrid Houston
I think that there is a lot more other stuff to work on to!!!!
goblueM
...do you know what is a big component of timing with WRs? FOOTWORK!there are huge differences in routes and in QB drops in some offenses. I don't know enough about Phi/Wash/Vikes passing game to tell you the footwork is similar or not... but it does change quite considerablyfor instance Martz loves 7 step drops, other coaches like 3 or 5 step drops. The pocket changes with every offense, etc. That means the QB has to adjust their footwork. Lot more complex than it looks.
zepman
McNabb has ALWAYS had terrible mechanics...it's no secret. His problem lies in the fact that his athleticism can no longer compensate for it.
Scott K
Footwork? You mean get the ball and run like hell?
PurpleFloyd
everybody is bagging on mcnabb too much. AP had FIVE YARDS in the 2nd half. Starting with a 20 point lead. Vikes SHOULD have pounded the ball and run it. Thats what they do best, and that's what you do with a 20 point leadMcNabb didnt help, but TERRIBLE game management and playcalling was the real killer The QB needs to complete a pass once in a while in the 2nd half if Peterson is going to get more carries.Unless you want them to get into the run run, pass on 3rd and 7 where McChunky throws the ball at the WR's feet, punt mode then you need to throw and make completions on 1st and 2nd down if you want him to have more carries. If they did run him on 2/3rds of the plays in the second half then everyone would b!tch that the coach was in [PoorWordUsage] because the plays were too predictable. PurpleFloyd
The footwork they are looking at has nothing to do with a 3 or 5 step drop but rather the mechanical action of not throwing off of your back foot and doing things like stepping into your throws. Those concepts do not change from scheme to scheme but they are things that generally get taken care of prior to starting in the NFL. He had the same issues in Washington and they got him benched and my guess is they will get him benched here too. How the Front Office didn't see this coming is absolutely baffling to me. FISHINGURU
I don't understand why we traded for McNub when he was going to be released anyway? I highly doubt he was a hot commodity.
PurpleFloyd
He needed to get in asap so he could get the timing down with the WR's and get the offense in sync. That worked out well.
koonie
I'd like to see them get AP the ball on some screens and swing passes. Seems like a no-brainer.
