Scott K
Quote:ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Randy Moss has abruptly decided to retire from the NFL.Moss' agent cites the underwhelming offers thus far in free agency. As Profootballtalk's Gregg Rosenthal predicted in March, Moss' pride won't allow him to take a big pay cut, so he's walking away at age 34. Moss will of course reserve the right to reverse his decision if an ardent suitor comes calling. If this is the end, Moss walks away eighth in career receptions (954), fifth in receiving yards (14,858), and second only to Jerry Rice in receiving TDs (153). Arguably the most dangerous deep threat in NFL history, Moss will be voted into the Hall of Fame after much debate.
paceman
No way he stay retired. He is only 34. When his mind is into it he is still one of the best deep threats the game has ever seen. Sombody will make him an offer he can't refuse.
Bryce
Would love to see him make HOF before Cris Carter. Cry baby would have some interesting sniveling over that one. Unfortunately, both of them will undeservedly make it. Their numbers will overshadow the cancers they were on the sideline.

So much talent and ability; so little desire when the tough got going. I expect we will hear his name again at some point; either because he's playing somewheres again or else he will have done something stupid and/or illegal. zamboni
he probably seen all the attention #4 got for his retire/unretire and got jealous.
SkunkedAgain
His agent essentially said that no good NFL teams were interested in Moss this season, only bad teams without a shot at the Super Bowl. Therefore most analysts are theorizing that Moss is waiting for the mid-season call from a Super Bowl contender once someone loses their top WR for the season. greebs
just read that he wanted to to pats or jets but those teams chose ochcinco and burress instead. that had to be a little hard for randy to accept.
FISHINGURU
I wouldn't want to play for a junk team either at his age.Nice trick by Randy and his agent!
yaggie
Randy Moss into Hall Of Fame? Not until the present generation all have Alzheimer's. Attitude is as important as achievements. At least that is my opinion.
Superduty
Randy is a weird duck for sure, but he probably had more athletic ability than anyone to ever play the position. He is a fisherman too. He routinely donated his time to pro/am fishing tournaments on Minnetonka when he was with the Vikings. The man genuinely enjoys fishing. He wasn't a badboy all the time, but when he was, he was really good at it. Kind of like his football career...
FISHINGURU
Well since he's gonna retire,I say the Vikes should sign him since he'll probably retire as a Viking. Instead of retiring him we put him on the field for a couple more years. Mcnub has a cannon and can throw the bomb, Moss can go get the ball like no one else. Just have him bring his own food and everything will be fine.

LMITOUT
ROFL. Two times with the clown and you want a third? Good grief. After what he did the last time he was in town anybody with a clue or a backbone wouldn't want him around.
Scott K
Moss will never play in MN again. Too many egos to polish over to make that happen. In fact, I would be surprised if he even is inducted as a Viking.
FISHINGURU
No skin off my back that he hates their crappy food or wants Childress fired, I don't blame him any. What I do like is when the Vikes win and if they had Moss and used him right we'd win way more football games, thats a fact.
