thatoneguy
The line will be better this season? Based on what, losing their starting LT and adding to significant upgrades?
zepman
Offensive line schemes are rarely man on man...you lose most of those battles regardless of the talent on your O-Line.I agree with Guru...our o-line will be better this year, even with roughly the same players. Different coach(es), different scheme, and we got a whole lot more mobile at the QB position.I like the quietness coming from the Viking's this year...it's refreshing and I believe a reflection on the head coach. FISHINGURU
Exactly, based on better schemes and better coaching. It isn't always the players fault, sometimes they are put in positions not to succeed, where another coach will work with the players skills to put them in a better position to succeed. We didn't lose our LT, we dumped him for being over weight and out of shape, he must not of cared that much and it pretty much showed on a weekly basis.I don't mind that we aren't out spending and trying to make big splashes this season, I'd like them players on our squad forsure but teams are over spending and we don't have the money this year. I'd rather have us save some money and be able to re-sign some of our top players like AP and Greenway. It also allows for some of our younger players to step up and see what they are made of. RumRiverRat
I think they will go 19-0 and win the Super BOWL BABY!!!!!!!They looked awesome tonight!
Scott K
I think they will go 19-0 and win the Super BOWL BABY!!!!!!!They looked awesome tonight! I am assuming that was sarcasm, but to be honest, I thought they played well tonight. Other then a tipped ball, and a blocked punt, we would have smoked Dallas. Its is preseason, and the score doesnt matter at all. I was a little impressed by our OF line, but our DB play needs some attention for us to compete this year. Our WR looked like they may be able to perform this year, it was good to see BB making some plays, he just needs to bring that ball in a little better. Our d-line, could forsure use some help, maybe we can pick up someone yet that gets a roster cut? We may just end up being a .500 team this year. zepman
The line will be better this season? Based on what, losing their starting LT and adding to significant upgrades? Looked pretty good last night...had AP played the whole game he would have dropped 200 on the Cowboys.
MuleShack
I know it was just preseason, but they did have some of their shti together last night. Running game had some bright spots, QB was decent, the receivers were doing some good things.I'm not having what LMT is passing out, but just saying they dont look all that bad.My upper reach is maybe 8 wins. Dark Cloud
Predictions of this season???... Same as every year... Lots of this - Will in the end equal this - McJunk will look decent at times, win a few games, but wont finish the season...
harvey lee
8-8. Maybe a game better with no serious injuries.I do have hope for the Queens. They will play for Frazier.
solbes
...They will play for Frazier. That's at least a bright spot. Disaster last year in that regard.I used to think this team was going 7-9, now I'm gonna flip and say 9-7 with outside chance of...And I'm not going to actually say that. Also I'm really tired of everyone crowning the Detroit Lions as being a real threat this upcoming year. Yes they are impressive at certain positions, but they are still the Lions. I will not be a believer until I see it actually happen.
goblueM
so noted Solbes, you have history on your side regarding the LIons. However, I'll be the first to say I told you so
LMITOUT
I've been watching my favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings, in the preseason and that Sherrels has been looking pretty good as has Booker. Maybe its time to really put some thought into trading Peterson and getting some return on him while his value is high. Like the guy from PFT was saying, this team is years away from any legitimate playoff run so why not start acquiring some decent prospects and draft picks to begin the rebuilding process, starting with trading Peterson. SkunkedAgain
The reverse of the Herschel Walker deal?!? If only some other team were that gullible!Seriously though, after watching the first three preseason games I am impressed by the Vikings. The defense could be better and so could a lot of things, but for a new coaching staff, new scheme, and new players to put it all together so quickly is impressive. I want to say that the Vikings will be better than I initially predicted but then I have to think of a team to do worse than them in the divison. Maybe the Lions but they seem to be on the upswing. The Bears could take a giant step back in some kind of Martz/Cutler super-implosion that swallows everything nearby, kind of like the end of Poltergeist. SkunkedAgain
Yeah, I mean I was trying to give the Vikings some extra praise than I gave them in the off-season, but I clearly laughed at my co-worker yesterday when he predicted a 10-6 tie with the Packers. IT JUST WON'T HAPPEN.

Jarrid Houston
Tonight we will get to see the last guys playing for a spot. You can pretty much count on the guys that dont play tonight have a spot for next weekends opener vs chargers. If we can go to San Diego and win, I think there is going to be a lot of heads turned and band wagon jumpers coming on!
james_walleye
The chargers usually stumble out of the gate so it should be an interesting game.
