T-Jack in Seattle should keep Sidney Rice from signing there! cool

Seahawks sign Sidney Rice. Rice's familiarity of chasing down defenders that intercept Tarvaris Jackson's passes will come in handy.

I would not be suprised at all to see TJack have a very good career going forward. I know he was not very effective at all under Chilly...and I was the first to smile when he was let go...still, he has always had a tremendous skill set but never the confidence and trust from his surrounding teammates to excel in Minnesota.

The day Favre joined the Vikes was the dagger for TJack...him (Favre) coming back the way he did last year was the gun to the head. He had no chance at all of LEADING the Vikes in the future. His teammates, coaching staff and front office were "all-in" with Favre. It was the right choice...no doubt...but certainly threw the #2...o.k. #3 QB under the bus. Sage should have been the #2 had Chilly not ran him out of town in one of the most retarded moves ever.

Sage would have been a great mentor to Ponder and we wouldn't have had to spend millions on another QB...upgrades to the O-Line would have been much more attractive and NEEDED!

Chilly really F'ed this whole team for years to come...his stubborness and complete lack of vision will set this franchise back for years.

Chilly was one interception away from a super bowl in 2009 with Favre. Tavaris Jackson is where Chilly went wrong. Remember, it was Brad Childress that hooked his wagon to the T-Jack train on draft day. T-Jack never had or ever will have the poise and ability to handle the mental challenges of an NFL quarterback. How many chances does he deserve? Good bye. I won't miss him!

agreed Sidney should of stepped up and got what he needed done right away. Could of made a big difference for Favre.. Leaders need to lead by example. Atleast we still got Percy and I will take him over all players all the time, except our very own AP...Still got a solid team the vikes do

Go Purple...

Forsure, just need to do something about the line, maybe we were so bad on the line because of the scheme and it wasn't all about the players, sitting duck Favre didn't help any, but I'd take Favre in a wheel chair over Junkson anyday.

Percy and AP are studs and will be used more and better this season. Shanks isn't to bad, Rudolph has alot of talent, we'll be running some 2 TE sets this year similar to NE. If Mcnub can step it up a bit like he used to do in Philly we could do some damage.

Got Jared, Kev, Greenway, Winfield on D, EJ will be more healthy, he played last year coming off that horrible injury.

Free Agency isn't over either, I'm expecting the Vikes to make some nice moves before the season is under way.

Did I see some refer to TarJack as having "a tremendous skill set?"

shocked

Living in Mankato allows me to get to see these guys up close every year. TJack IS a physical specimen compared to the other qb's that have been down there the last few years. "Skill-set" refers to running, throwing, and all around athleticism.

He didn't have the intangibles and I'm glad he's gone. My point was, a change of scenery may do him some good.
