RumRiverRat
AP is overrated. The O-line is going to be garbage this year.AP will have a mediocre season at best.

goblueM
one thing to keep in mind with the Texans and Foster is that they lost their stud FB Vonta Leach to another team
FISHINGURU
AP will have the most receptions and reception yards of his career this season. It's no secret we are gonna give him the ball alot and in different ways.
RiverFish
I look at being some what conservative with my first pick. Who is going to give me great numbers with a chance at having fantastic numbers.AP, Chris Johnson, Foster, etc...I think AP fits that bill. Farley
i dont think AP is over-rated at all. Top 2 in the leauge, looking more like top 3 according to this board. i wouldnt have a problem taking him #1, definetly would take him #2. It would be a tough decision between him and Johnson I think, havent gave Foster that much thought but our draft isnt untill Sept 2nd. We do a keeper leauge. I have Knowshawn Moreno (5th round I think.)

Farley
I dont think we're required to keep them. If you do you loose like a 5th rounder or something.
mrklean
havent done any drafting yet this year is chris johnson dropping with the chance of a long holdout or are people still taking him top 3?
LMITOUT
I found out today that I got the 2nd pick in our draft this year. Hmmmmm.
thatoneguy
My first money league draft is Friday, and I'm picking fourth - draft order is randomly selected. I should be able to get either Ray Rice - who I'm REALLY high on with Leach blocking for him - or Jamaal Charles there. Who knows...maybe somebody does something crazy like taking Vick or another QB in the top 3, and I do even better! My other money league, a much more competitive (and more money) one, I'm picking 10th since I won the league last year. I'd much rather pick 10th than 6th or 7th, so I'm OK with that.I did a mock draft on ESPN last night, ended up with the 9th pick, and this is what I ended up with:QB - Matt SchaubRB - LeSean McCoyRB - Ahmad BradshawWR - Roddy WhiteWR - Miles AustinFlex - Felix JonesTE - Marcedes LewisD - PittsburghK - Stephen GostkowskiBench:Josh FreemanLance MooreKellen WinslowBrandon JacobsMike Sims-WalkerDanny WoodheadThomas JonesNot a slam dunk, but I'd be happy to roll with that this year. LMITOUT
I'm guessing quite a few have had their drafts already so how'd everyone do? Mine is next Tuesday so I'm still on the fence on who to take at #2.
creepworm
I am happy with my team but took some players that will miss games due to injuries.

RiverFish
Anyone else do auction drafts? IMO it is a way better way to run a draft. Why should draft order have an impact on how teams may end up.
thatoneguy
I have an auction draft tonight. Auctions are not only more fair, they're a lot more fun than snake drafts! My snake-draft money league team ended up like this (4th overall pick):QB - BradyRB - RiceRB - BensonFlex - ManninghamWR - JenningsWR - Dez Bryant TE - GatesDef - PittsburghK - GostkowskiI'm not thrilled with my RB situation - there was a massive run on them in the first two rounds, and Benson was the best available when I got to my second pick - but I LOVE my WRs (big years coming for Manningham and Bryant, IMO) and Brady and Gates will produce. The nice thing about auctions is that you can target specific players that you might never get a shot at in a snake draft. james_walleye
I guess I don't get the fair part. I've won the superbowl or been runner up 4 times in 11 years in our league.2 years ago I had pick #1, the other 3 times I was 6, 8, and 11. Honestly I won't do another league without it being an auction draft. Snake seems busch league now that I have done auction.
LMITOUT
I think some of it depends on the number of teams in your league, league scoring, and talent available that particular year. It used to be that everyone concentrated on RB's right out of the gate and that could hurt a guy at the tail end of regular draft in a deep league, but now the trend is all over the place and it's not just a "RB or bust" mentality anymore so I think the "fairness" constraint isn't as applicable as it was in the past in whether or not to have an auction or pick'm draft.I don't buy into the theory of having an auction just so that you have a shot of picking up a player you have a mancrush on either. Pick what works for your team, not what makes you warm and fuzzy inside.Just like James I've actually done better when my pick was later, so not having a pick in the top 3-4 isn't really anything that bothers me, in fact I'd prefer to have a late round pick. thatoneguy
It's more fair in the sense that every team owner has a shot at every player in the league (at least initially). That alone is enough reason to do an auction. The bigger selling point is that auction drafts are 10x more fun
Nick Kuhn
Well, I had the #1 pick in a 10 team league. The league scoring and set-up heavily favors monster games over consistent performance, so I took Foster number 1. Here's the team:QB: Philip RiversRB: Arian FosterRB: Maurice Jones-DrewWR: Dwayne BoweWR: Jeremy MaclinWR: Kenny BrittTE: Jermichael FinleyK: Robbie GouldDEF: San DiegoBN: Josh FreemanBN: Pierre GarconBN: Michael CrabtreeBN: Ryan GrantBN: Jonathan StewartBN: Visanthe Shiancoe
