Deitz Dittrich
Anybody see the new 2011 Allison bass boat. Boat manufacts always are trying to one up the others. I got to give it to Allison this year. Where the front depthfinder is mounted, it rises out of the floor on a pedestal. Pretty slick if you ask me. jwmiller33
that is awesome and one heck of a front depthfinder!
Nick Kuhn
This would be nicer for those of us who have something a little smaller than an 1197 up front.

Larson15
I think that might be the sweetest idea I have seen on a bass boat.
JeffB
I was thinking more of a retractable cover to hide my small outdated electronics.

LegattoAD
Kitty may get jealous of Allison... Better be careful with that...
delmuts
Boy DD! You'd better go smooth things over with your kitty!
Superduty
Awesome idea. It looks well built also. It better be, I can't even remember to pull up the trolling motor sometimes. I know I would forget to store the depthfinder and at the speeds those Allisons travel I wouldn't want to take a 1197 to the head!
bemidjibasser
Where are the wires? It looks like a good idea, but would it be in the way depending on casting angle like skipping docks or a hook set if fishing a tip down tactic like crankin'? The wires are probably on the inside of the telescoping pole. Somewhere in there you will be repeatedly flexing wires, which will inevitably break them.As far as dinging it with a rod goes, I've wacked my trolling motor head a few times. A rod is so light you really can't do any damage to a fishfinder. The rod will likely be okay too, unless you really gave it a good wack.
Raider4ever
So, it looks neat but does anyone know what model this feature is on? Their HSOforum conveniently does not show this feature in any of their bass models.
blakjack23
My buddy has used a long RAM arm to bring the sonar up higher which I thought was a good idea. This is even better!
RumRiverRat
I could easily make something like that at work. May have to pitch the idea to the President of the company. The possibilities are endless for all the other boat brands out there. Superduty, your boat can be the test platform for the prototype! Runs off to fire up Solidworks..................... bASS_BLASTER
I know this is an older thread but these are on the 2011 XB21 BasSport Pro models. If anyone is ever considering buying an Allison for fishing, I will only recommend the xb21 BasSport Pro 2 seater or 4 seater a.k.a. 2+2. The hull weight is 1400lbs. Add a 500lb motor, fill up your 30 gallon fuel tank @ 8lbs per gal= 240lbs, 38gal livewell= 304lbs, 3gal 2cyle oil= 24lbs, trolling motor, fishermen and full gear you're looking at a total apx weight= 2,600 - 2,800lbs. So these boats will do very well in rough water and 2-4ft chops, if anyone is concerned and heard rumors. This specific model is the only one that is fishable with a stable platform and tournament ready boat. Other models are narrow and are not practical for fishing. Allisons has a fuel efficient hull and since it glides on the surface of the water with only its pad and prop in the water, it will consume less gas and its 30 gal tank will give you a fuel range/distance of about 190 miles. btw, this boat will do 91-92mph with a 250HP Here's the center console for the 2011 XB21 Bassport Pro.
