harvey lee
What kind of a fool of a coach would all but blame the loss to GB on the national media on his QB?Only Chilly.I hope he gets his T junk for the rest of the season. No coach worth a hoot would come out and attack his QB after a loss like Chilly the [PoorWordUsage] did.He is a pitiful coach and thats about all one can say.I did not hear himself say that maybe his coaching staff should have questioned the one catch by GB in the end zone that was not a TD.This guy is worthless. But, he is ours.

Steve Foss
Thats too bad for Zigy. He only cares if he makes money. It's a business. You only care if your team wins. It's a passion. Owners and fans are not on the same team.
curtistodd
My thoughts were "Hey Chili, Brett Favre may not be the best QB in the league anymore, but your not even in the top 25 in coaching." The game was very, very entertaining even though the vikes lost. Think of how boring it wouldve been had we gone 3 and out 9 times and lost by 15 with Tjack. Pack got all the calls, and McCarthy proved to be the master of the Challenges. Chili could learn a thing or 10 from him!

You wouldn't be a little frustrated? And how about the underhand flip again that he got lucky that wasn't picked off. I suppose you thought the Harvin run call was stupid too, I thought it was a great and imaginative play call, executed to perfection. And I seem to recall Ditka ripping on Harbaugh, which was far worse, give me a break. zepman
His comments were unprofessional and better left for the film room today.Chilly is a complete control freak and he can't stand it when Favre wonders from the game plan. On the pick 6 play, Chilly mentioned that the play was designed to go to the right and Favre never once looked that way and instead went to the left. Harvin was supposedly wide open when the pick was thrown.Chilly better watch what he says...we have alot of very important free agents to re-sign at the end of the year. Birk left because of Chilly and I wouldn't be suprised to see others follow his lead.
MuleShack
The "Common Man" stated today on the radio that one of his "sources" was a memeber of the offense with the vikings. He said his "source" told him that most of the players dont like Chilly, but they tolerate him to win games. That philosophy is falling apart, so if this "source" is true, you gotta start wondering about the glue that is holding the team together. If this is true, then player(s) should go to Spielman/Ziggy so we don't lose players at end of season because of Chilly. This is a team game and if players are not all on board to play for their coach then they will implode, look at the cowboys with Wade Phillips. fishersofmen
Common and his "sources". Classic. I like Chili am disgusted with Favre's play this year. Yea Chili has made some mistakes but in my mind he did enough to get us in the Superbowl. It was Favre who through the pick to end the game against the Saints. It is Favre who has personally givin our opponents 51 points this year. A bad QB can drag down a good team in a hurry, look at the Bears. creepworm
True, Favre's play has not been very good, but a coach absolutely cannot call out a player in a press conference. If Favre would have called out chilly how well do you think that would work. It is unprofessional to do this and never helps solve anything, it only hurts the team and divides them.Anyone else have the feeling that the Vikes are one bad half away from a complete and somewhat entertaining implosion. jerkbait
It was Chili that allowed 12 men in the huddle after a time out in the championship last year. That was the nail in the coffin. If not for that a pass play would not have been needed. Could have ran the ball and attempted a field goal. Chili is an idoit!!!!!!!!!!! pike doctor
This guy has been given a blank checkbook from Ziggy to get whoever and whatever he wants. The best that he has produced is a 5 turnover NFC championship game. All he insipires is dithering and confusion. With the teams we have had we should be breezing to a first round bye in the playoffs the last three years. It has been time for him to go for quite a while.Lets not forget that a lot of this year INTs havent been 4s fault. THey havent been blocking for chit and have nearly gotten him killed. Sooner or later the gunslinger mentality that he was goin to have to do it himself was going to come out. Other than harvin and AP nobody seems to be trying on O. B. Amish
only one stat matters in football: the turnover ratio.
fishersofmen
Correct. Again when your QB spots the other team almost 10 points a game things will be difficult. I suppose all Favre's off field antics are Chili's fault as well. Point is Favre doesn't have a clear head right now. (understatement)If Brett had 15 TD's and 2 INT's right now not one peep would be said about Chili other than praise because we would be winning games. harvey lee
If Chilly wants to blame a certain player for a loss, he is done as a coach. You simply save that for a better time.Farve did not lose the game as the NFL stated that the refs blew the game in their calls.I would say the coaching staff blew it by not questioning the calls by the refs. Thats not the job of the players.Way to go mutton head.

That would be impossible for any QB with the way the offensive line has been playing. Now, if our line protected Farve like GB protected Rodgers, it would have been a different game. Rodgers had all day to pick out a reciever and the recievvers had all day to get open. Not Farve.Farve is not the only one playing below their level. fishersofmen
I agree with that to a point. Its true Rogers could have poured a cup of tea on some of his dropbacks and yes our offensive line has not played well but Favre has simply been reckless with his play. Throw the dang ball away instead of giving it to the other team!!
mrklean
Favre has always been reckless thats just how he plays its feast or famine, last year was feast this year is famine

Well by that logic then Childress didn't lose the game either, the refs did.And who is to say that the ref would have ruled the other call correctly during the game after he ruled the Shiancoe call wrong anyway? Oh it's that easy isn't it Harvey Lee.
harvey lee
My point is that Chilly was squacking that Farve played so poorly and heck, Chilly coached pretty poorly also.Chili could have thrown the red flag for the GB TD but didn't bother. He did not even bother and thats why I said he blew it. Just becasue one red flag was overturned does not mean they will all be.You have to try and Chilly did not.
