solbes
I might be an apologist, but I'm not delusional. Brent bumming around the Mankato dorms. Makes me laugh just thinking about it:) Com' on guys, we knew he wasn't going to come. Have we learned nothing from seeing the drama unfold over the last 4 years? I find it pathetic myself, but force him to come and we miss the playoff with a record of 9-7. Tarvaris is again our Minnesota Vikings starting QB. If this was going to be an issue for the team, it would have showed up last season. Winning cures all. If we start to lose a lot of games with #4 at the helm, that's when the wheels fall off. Big Dave2
I must be just like Bret Favre then. I recently took apart time job in a grocery store as a night manager to make ends meet. I have over 13 years experience in the grocery business so this store offered me a better wage than the other night managers and offered me my choice of hours. I took them up on all the perks and you know what, without some of these perks I would not have even taken the job but they knew they were getting a good deal at the wage they were paying me. How many of you would turn down an offer like this from your employer and say, "no, no, give me the same wage as everyone else and give me whatever hours you want to. I want to be a team player".Give me a break!
JeffB
The coach basically told him come play with us if and when you are ready, and he is taking advantage of that. I don't see the big deal. Last year at this time I didn't think he was still good enough to help our team, but was proven wrong. I'll take him as a QB. He's got heart when the game is on the line. Even though he didn't win the game against the saints for us, he was doing his best do get us down field and win the game. Most games that was enough last year. we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted August 7, 2010 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted August 7, 2010 I'm fine with how it worked last year and fine with how it's going now. The rest of ya who want to make a drama over it are a bunch of drama queens if you ask me Talk about the pots calling the kettle black. The media loves it and they're biggest pot of all. james_walleye
Hahaha.....junkson......if i never saw him on the field again as the vikings QB it would be to soon. I can't wait for another fun ride in 2010 with Favre. The vikings with Favre = superbowl contender, we saw that last year. The vikings with Jackson = playoff contender. Also proven. LMITOUT
The vikings with Jackson = playoff contender. Also proven. Proven? You're forgetting about Gus Ferotte. You know, the guy that actually carried the load that year?
Shack
Rumor has it (it's all rumors we seem to find fact in here ) T "Rex" Jackson has been piecing practice issue pigskin threw 1/4" A36 steel plate on bullseye at 30 yards the last week. Sources say he is just sighting in at 30 now and will transfer over to 75 next week. I guess he is looking pretty dang good.
james_walleye
Your right on that LMIT, maybe im giving junkson to much credit by saying the vikings would be playoff contenders with him at QB.
PurpleFloyd
They might be able to get to the playoffs with Jackson but the SB is really the only game I am concerned with them winning at this point in my life and that is something he doesn't have the skills to do. LMITOUT
"He looks good in practice."How many times have we heard that before, only to see him look completely lost during a real game situation. The Vikings screwed up when they didn't take a QB in the draft this year and then abandoning the failed T-Jack experiment. harvey lee
I figure the Vikes or at least that coach figures if Farve cannot play, he has his buddy T-Jack.Who needs Farve when you have T-Jack??With T-Jack as the QB, they may make the play offs but will go nowhere. He may be better than his last season he played and thats great but he is not the answer any way one cuts it. MuleShack
""quote=MuleShackFunny, he can practice and coach with a high school team, but he couldn't be doing the same thing in with the organization that is writing his pay checks? He could still be "AT" camp and coach, mentor, throw passes what ever...just because you cant use the ankle at 100% yet. There is no I in Team, but apparently there is one in FavIre."How many of you guys who are 40 yrs old with a wife and kids at home travel to the opposite side of the country for 2-3 weeks just to PRACTICE your jobs? I know I wouldn't want to do it. Well I guess if it was part of my job I would have to be there, whether I liked it or not.
harvey lee
AGREED fishin58..........it's t-jacks time to shine!!! I doubt that T-Junk will shine. Farve, the so called drama Queen can possibly take them to the promised land but T-Junk may not even get them into the play-offs.If I owned a team that had a shot and Farve said I will QB for you with no training camp, I would say welcome.Seemed the players had no issues with it last season winning all the time so why should we all have an issue with it????Co Brett. The Vikings screwed up when they didn't take a QB in the draft this year and then abandoning the failed T-Jack experiment. LOL! We just do not know? This last season has just thrown me off so much I can not even recall if T-Jack has even played a full season as a starting Vike's QB yet? I seem to recall he did, before the season Forgot took over for awhile??? It's too late to look up stats now.
zepman
Being this will be his 4th or 5th year and with a year behind Favre...especially a year in the film room...it would be interesting to see just what TJack actually has now. I'm betting we'll get a chance to see it at some point this year.

Someone will always call foul and unfair about someone else. This is a down side being exceptionally good at something and reaping the rewards. You get special treatment for standing out or doing a good job, even with a new employer, the "union" cry out for equality comes with it. Jim Uran
I bet Tjack is better at Quarterbacking than LMITOUT and HarveyLee are at fishing Kidding aside, if it came down to Favre retiring I'd be comfortable watching Jackson QB us, but let him use his legs a little more. SuperBowl contenders?? You just never know, but they'd still be a heck of a team.
