How many of you listen to music on a consistent basis while fishing or any radio for that matter?

I know a lot of people that swear music will spook fish and also have a friend that honestly believes bass bite better when country music is on!

I think it cant help in most situations and usually try to avoid it but just wanted to see how other feel on the subject?

Nah, I'd rather listen to the loons call than listen to music.

I've noticed the bass prefer Mongomery Gentry or when Pavano pitches.....

I might turn on the radio when I'm in a no wake zone and can actually hear it, otherwise, I'm there to fish.

For me, music becomes a distraction that takes attention away from the little things that can make a difference in getting bit.

if I'm out by myself I'll bring the ipod along and listen through the headphones, but I'm not out by myself often.

I often listen to my iPod threw a player. The speakers are not mounted in my boat, its just a small battery powered desktop player. I dont crank it, more just light background music. I have not noticed that I catch fewer fish when the music is on.

Good tunes are a must. Either radio or CDs most of the time. Lately I've been using headphones with my iPhone when I'm alone. That's what I'll be doing today after the twins game.

Tunes are for a party. I enjoy the concert around me when I am outdoors fishing or hunting.

I prefer the the solitude of fishing as well. It's a time to connect with the family as well while fishing. Plenty of time for music, phone calls, texting and the rest of that when you're off the water. Plus you hear enough music from those idiots in the ski and party boats.

When I'm out fun fishing, and the Twins are playing I always like to try to listen to the game. As others have said, just a little backround noise, nothing to loud

Portable radio a must have for music and weather. I have had mine blasting in the fish house and seems to draw them in. Must be the vibration.

How many times have you heard a fish swirl behind you or off to the side and made the cast and connect? Or it might be bait fish popping the surface! It's happened to me many times. If I were playing music I would not have heard the fish and made the cast.

I love the sounds of being on the water so no music for me when fishing!
