trade 30th pick to Pitt with TJ for BiG BEN, Knowing full well Big BEN will not sit behind #4,, Big BEn is dealt to the Rams for Bradford along with a 2nd Rd pick in 2011 coming to the Vikes.

All in all, we need a CB .

clausen will fall to 30, if not they will trade out to get more picks later in the draft.

if Clausen Falls to around 20, I wouldnt be surprised to see the Vikes trade up to get him! Since they signed Lito I am guessing a QB, and I hate to say it but Tebow is a good possibility.

No way on Tebow! Clausen, sure. If Clausen is already gone, or if it cost to much to trade up to take him, go OL, or CB, we also need a MLB as well, but I think you can get a decent LB in the late rounds.

Now that we got Lito Sheppard we will likely go after offensive lineman Pouncey from Florida if he falls to us or maybe even Jahvid Best RB would be great.

I have been clamoring for them to draft Jahvid Best, but people think I am crazy (he is so freakin' fast!). It is great to know I am not the only voice of reason out there. smile

I would also be content with Pouncey if he is available.

Pouncey will be long gone. Best is not a first rounded. As far as Best goes I have two words for ya.. Michael Bennett. No thanks.

I'm praying Earl Thomas will fall. I would really like to see Sean Weatherspoon in purple. Iupati would be an upgrade over Herrera.

Of the Olinemen likely to available at #30 most are tackles which isn't a need and there are no guards worthy of the #30 pick. I'm not big on Taylor Mays(no coverage ability and really stiff in coverage) but Earl Thomas would be huge for us. I doubt he falls that far though. Otherwise Allen from S. Florida would be better than Mays. Weatherspoon would be a nice pick and I think linebacker is a need. Leber is in the last year of his contract and getting older and there is no telling if EJ Henderson will ever be the same player. We need the depth as well. Cornerback, even with Sheppard signing, needs some young blood. K. Jackson fits our scheme really well and he and Asher Allen can become a nice tandem when Winfield and Griffin decline.

Best case scenario. We've blown enough smoke that some team will trade up with us to get Tebow or even McCoy. A couple extra picks in the second and third rounds would be huge for the Vikings.

If the Vikes don't trade down and Thomas, Weatherspoon or Iupati don't slide down to our pick I'm going to stick with K. Jackson.

We could be in a prime spot to trade down out of the first with teams like Buffalo, Cleveland, Denver, should all of them pass on the top 2 QB's.

I would like Pouncey, but I don't think it will happen. I can't see him getting by the Steelers at 18, but like I said, hopefully I am wrong.

I am reading/hearing some rumblings that they like the Cook kid(CB) from I think it is Virginia.... Big, athletic kid, good speed

I can't fathom a scenario where Clausen makes it to 30.... if he really starts sliding, someone will trade up to get him

I want Tebow so bad I can hardly stand it. I do not see us picking a CB now in the first round, especially because of the depth at that position in the draft (difficult to separate the late 1st and 2nd round CB's). Tebow would be such a good pick, I'd take him over Clausen any day of the week. The kid is off the charts with every intangible you could ask for, and his throwing mechanic can be worked on. Other notable recent QB's with his issue: Aaron Rodgers and Phillip Rivers.

Tebow is a no-brainer at 30, and I can't understand the negativity around him. He's a winner and a leader, you can't teach that.

If they can't get Pouncey (which is probably the case) I hope they take Iupati, the guard from Idaho. If one of them is within reach we need to get them.

We need to address the interior offensive line, right now.

It is always interesting isn't it? i think the top needs are MLB and Safety. Secondary needs are CB, QB,DT,TE . Signing Shepherd took the pressure off for CB, but I expect to take one in the 2nd/3rd round for depth. Tebow will be a quality pro somewhere.....maybe here(that would signal the end for TJ, though and Chili doesn't often admit mistakes). Williams wall is getting older, but I like the 2 back-ups we have....probably look for depth for the future there. Kliensasser is getting old for a blocking TE, so a young replacement is needed. I don't see a need at RB like some of you do....to replace Chester, we have Renauld, Johnson, Young, and Cincy RB can't remember his name. One of them will take that spot, or Harvin could spot there some. MLB and Safety , best players available are critical. Tebow may be there at 30, and should be taken if he is, just no Clausson in my book. He and Brady Quinn are of the same mold and I dont't like either of them on my team.

I think Tebow is a great kid, BUT.... you can't just do it with intangibles.... The things he is GREAT at don't translate in the NFL. I could care less if we have a QB who can run for 2 yards on 4 and 1, but I sure as heck want a guy who can see the blitz, process the coverage and find the right read on 3 & 7 and make an accurate throw under pressure, from the pocket! I'm not saying Tebow can't become a good NFL Quarterback, I'm just saying that he is a LONG WAYS behind guys like Bradford, Clausen, McCoy and even guys like Pike, LeFavour etc...

Like has been said lots of times, if you were drafting just a human being for being a great person, TEBOW would be #1 ten times over, but his skill set just doesn't transfer near as well as the other ones!!

Yeah, he is called "a winner", but he has been on the college football team with arguably the most talented roster the last 4 years... if you can't be a winner on that team, you have problems...

I still think they go CB at #30.... but I hope they trade down in Pouncey is gone...
