did they confenscate (sp) the fish or let them keep and eat it. dont jump on my back about it but if the dnr kept it you think they mounted it or ate it or just disposed of it. Its not fully a waste if they still let them keep it to eat it if they were already got a fine for it. just my opinion.

A year or two back on Opener a CO watched a guy catch a 12" walleye, kill it and then throw it back. The guy was ticketed for wanton waste and the fish was confiscated. Later when the CO was checking licenses of some guys we know he gave them the walleye...or so we were told...

Tons of skies being poped on cedar, french, orchard, etc this winter. Its sad but true.

poped? The fish are getting religion? :-)

Do the folks that pop these muskies keep them/kill them? Or put them back down the hole.

Not sure what you are sad about.

Sometimes I wish we would all have to take a class on fishing, boating, pontooning, jet skiing, water skiing etc. Maybe some of the issues would be less or non-existant on some waters. A lot of people don't get much before they hit the waters and now with such high powered boats/sea doo's etc. Remember I wish.

agreed, or at least take a quick fish ID test when puurchasing the liscence. perhaps something as simple as Identifying differences between pike, muskie, the types of bass and the limits.

Minnesota has lots of laws is the first problem. I agree with having the laws to protect the fishes but wow how does a guy keep them straight.

it sucks for these guys that got busted what if they really needed that fish for a meal?
