Why pull him and embarrass him by putting in a worthless back up. Favre is still the man, don't let this game make you think Tjack is somehow better than Favre in ANY situation.

Ridiculous....

Because that is what he deserves, his insubordination has to stop some where. Look where it got him in his last few years in Pucker land. We know the end result with Bert left in that game, humiliaton and a TEAM and a coach divided. But yet we still have Bert and his decipels still holier then thou!!!! All thanks because of someones EGO????

With all that pressure T-Jack would have had about 4 picks in that game.

We wont know for sure, all we know is that Favre couldnt do anything all game long, so Childress was trying to change things up, to try something different. I am not knocking what Favre did all season long, just that what he was doing in this game, and he wouldnt allow a change. You guys criticize Childress for not changing things when its not working, then when he does, you say he doesnt know what he is doing.

I'm kind of with Harmonica. I didn't see Favre really stinking up the joint. The play calling and the blocking was pathetic. Also why isn't anyone down on AP like they want to get on Favre? AP has been a complete bum for the last month plus. Does he have more fumbles than yards? Might be close...

I think you guys may be reading a bit to much into this.

Favre was getting killed and Chili wanted to save him knowing we are screwed in the play-offs with-out him.

Favre didn't want to get yanked in that situation and right-fully so.

They conferred and worked out the problem.

Now carry on with excus-ville!

What insubordination???????

Just because he and Childress had a discussion about whether he should stay in the game or not and Favre was able to convince Childress that he should stay in does not equal insubordination.

You guys are reading way too much into this. Haven't any of you ever had a heated discussion with a superior at work and ended up talking them into or out of a decision? That's all that happened here people, nothing more, nothing less.

If Childress would have made up his mind that Favre was to sit, he would have been sitting.

Who would you rather have for your NFL QB, a guy who doesn't question the coach who is trying to yank him early in a 7-6 game even though he is a hall of fame MVP candidate? Or a guy who is such a fire breathing competitor, he will get in the coaches face and try to make him realize when he is making a bone-headed mistake?

If you have no fire or seeds you won't be an NFL QB for long.

Favre hit Peterson, Taylor, Rice and Shiancoe with passes that weren't caught, not Bretts fault. One was a first down conversion to Shiancoe that hit him literally in the chest. Peterson and Taylors were screens. And the one Rice couldn't haul in would have been a TD, but the corner for the Panthers knocked it out of his hands.

You could replace Favre with T-Jack in the quote above and it sounds eerily like a description of a couple Vikings losses last year. smile

BTW, we have a rookie on one side and McKinnie was benched last week, so I think we all agree we have problems this year as well

your really goin to play this card, pretty sure there are a select few that had some faith in Cook, I was one of them. He is still a serviceable lineman. But if you really are goin to try and say that Loadholt is worse now, then we have problems. You Bert worshippers cant always have your cake and eat it too. After all your name is not Brett Favre.

Chili's mentor Andy Reid pulled McNabb last year and benched him for a game or two. This is no different, except appears Reid's team has respect for his authority, including his multi-year, multi-talented future HOF QB

IMO- Chili is only making himself look more a fool with the whole "stream of consciousness" bit.
