Badger
Is it a bust signing Favre for 12 million if the Vikings don't win their first championship? I actually would love to see the Vikings go to the Superbowl and lose....0-5 Nobody talks about winning the division ......championships are what matters
pinkfloyd4ever
I gotta give it to him, he's been better than I thought. Ya,I think in this town its a bust if we don't, but the saints are killer this year, but ya bust. Look at how we still hang on to
Big Dave2
An NFL franchise is in the business of making money just like any other corporation. I'm pretty sure Favre brought in more than 12 million in revenue to the Vikings. Also, is it a bust if the Packers never win a championship with Aaron Rodgers after releasing a hall of fame QB who went 13-3 the season before in favor of him? BlueLundFishrman
So the Herschel Walker trade wasn't a bust, because that resulted in a bunch of jersey sales.
Badger
Favre won a championship with the PACKERS! Aaron will win a championship....he's that good! The Vikings have to go back to TJack next year. Favre decided or undecided or thought about it or .....it's done. Rodgers contract would have expired and then what?????? He may have signed with the Vikings. Better get it done this year......or just get there and be 0-5 LOL
PierBridge
As you already know Badge the BrettFavre signing, regardless, is of Epic proportions that not even Spielberg could have envisioned....so no if we don't win the Championship its not or never can be a BUST having your guy have his best yet EVER wearing Purple. You know the season is going well when all the haters have to say is "well you ain't gonna win the super bowl" wow, way to go math majors. Good Luck and Nice try!
Big Dave2
So the Herschel Walker trade wasn't a bust, because that resulted in a bunch of jersey sales. I highly doubt that Hershel Walker brought in as much revenue as Brette Favre does but if he brought in more revenue for the team than he cost the team then the answer would be no, he was not a bust. greebs
I don't think it's a bust based on play so far. Favre has made the team much better all around. Does anyone doubt they'd be this serious of a contender with either of the other qb's? Now if he plays like he did last game against Cards for the remainder of the season, I will change my mind but don't really expect that to happen.Too early to know how Rodgers will turn out. There are a lot of qb's that had very good careers without a SB title and aren't considered busts. Not sure how he was drafted overall that year but don't believe he was #1 overall so he's probably really not "bust" material. Think he's a very good qb and will be better if he learns to not hold on so long. If given the choice between Favre for just 1 or maybe 2 years or Rogers for long term, I think many would take Rogers.

The Vikings have to go back to TJack next year. Why would we "have to go back to TJunk" next year??? If favre decides to play the full 2 years of his contract, he'll be the man next year, no doubt. This!Gawd it feels sooo good too. Superbowl would be huge bonus, but the Favre acquisition has already paid off, no doubts there. That had to really sting, especially those sitting in Lamblow during the game, watching their old hero mop the field with their sorry arses. LOVED IT! Skol Vikes! walleyes12
Badger, you were awfully quite when the vikes swept the cheeseheads, some of us were even concerned about your well being. slipbobbin
Just means at the end of the day every team in this division comes up short year after year. No matter what team you root for is alwayz ends in disappointment.

Driftless
Saints from NFC and Chargers or Colts from AFCand all of those go out the window with the injuries that are possible.
