we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted December 12, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted December 12, 2009 Favre, Peterson and that O-line need to get their game on.
BlueLundFishrman
. The Drew Pearson push off, the AZ cardinals miracle finish, 41 doughnut, etc. Now I have learned to expect the worst with this franchise. I'm certainly not bitter about this, it's just the facts....but I really have concerns in the playoffs, as our history indicates. Don't forget 40-15! And yes the Vikes seem to already be showing how they will play versus playoff caliber opponents, it's just fate.
bassNspear
Favre, Peterson and that O-line need to get their game on. Cant agree more. They need to get back to there a game, and thats running the football! Everyone knows that Brett is going to play fine, but we need to get AP running again! harvey lee
If the Vikes lose, they will not go deep into the play offs. They are not that good. I just don't see them winning it all with some of the better teams out there.

Nick Kuhn
With the exception of the Colts and Saints everyone has dropped some games to less than stellar opponents, it happens. I'm not sure where this attitude that a team can be 10-2 and not a super bowl contender comes from. Since the beginning of the 16 game schedule can you name one 12 win team that was blown off solely because they beat a weak schedule? Recent seasons have spoiled us with many 14,15 and even a 16 regular season, but that really hasn't been the norm for most NFL seasons. zepman
Nothing could be more true. Pats a few years ago and Colts and Saints this year have really cloudied some folks view of reality. At 10-2, the Vikes are (right now) as much of a threat to win the Super Bowl as anyone...regardless of who we've played or lost to. If we fold down the stretch and lose our #2 spot in the NFC then all bets are off the table. Vikes are a whole different animal at home. There's alot of hay in the barn already for this team, I just hope they can finish strong and heal up in the process.

I just don't see them winning it all with some of the better teams out there. Did anyone think going into the playoffs last year, much less after 12 weeks, that the Cardinals and Eagles would be playing to go to the superbowl?? Come on now, the vikings are better than each of those 2 teams were last year. In this day and age, any of the 6 teams that make the playoffs can put a couple games together and get to the bowl. Whether that be NO, MN, GB or whomever else squeaks into the playoffs.

zepman
Did Percy have concussion problems at Florida? Just wondering where the migraines come from. Have a family member who deals with migraines and it's tough going when the appear.

fishersofmen
Defense showed up BIG TIME!!! That was very impressive how they came back after loosing EJ, also nice to see Winfield back makes a huge diference. Nice game for AP as well. If we had Harvin today it could have been really ugly for Cinci.Winfield lead team with 9 tackles. (Brinckley had 3)Benson was held to 96 yds so defense keeps streak alive. LMITOUT
With the win over the slumping Bengals today the Vikes clinch a playoff berth and need either a win or a Packers loss next week to take the division championship. It's safe to say it's all but locked up at this point.
james_walleye
Slumping bengals? They had won 5 of their last 6 games coming in.

james_walleye
LOL give me a break, 9-3 with winning 4 of 5 games is anything but a slump hahahahaha. So your saying starting the season off with a loss to Denver is better than beating Clev, Det, and Balt?? My god you have the most warped point of view i've ever seen. Oak is no joke now that they got rid of the worst excuse the NFL has seen in a long time in Jamarcus Russell. Bengals and the Steelers since?? Not bad

LMITOUT
Vikes got another cupcake win today, lucking-out to play them at this point of the season when they're not playing as good as they were earlier in the schedule. Cincy's win over Pitt isn't looking as impressive now either, now that Pitt has completely fallen apart.
