DTro
Figured out a great way to keep the explosive Harvin from returning kickoffs today Hopefully other teams were taking notes.

zamboni
They should be, considering how they played another sub .500 team again this week. I am still trying to figure out how we/Vikes are responsible for their scheduling.

I read an article on this earlier and this year strength of schedule really hasn't been a factor in determining which teams are the best this season. Besides we've had backups in the game at the end of most of those softies, which is exactly what you would expect from a good team. Right now they are 9-1, and 4 more wins and a first round bye are easily attainable. They are currently in excellent shape injury-wise, and defenses haven't had much of an answer for the Farve/Peterson combo in the back-field. I would love to see the percentage of first downs they gain on down sets where they don't take a penalty or sack. I'm guessing the number is up around 75%. Imagine the Twins playing against teams in the minors and then having to play the Yankees when it counts. We all know how that ends up.... All I'm saying is that this cupcake schedule isn't showing us anything about this team other than they are winning games against poor teams. TR21
You mean like when the pack played the Vikes this year, I assume both those games counted.C'mon. Lmitout give credit where credit is due. The Vikes completely dominated another NFL team yesterday, regardless of their record.
LMITOUT
That's good, we're happy for them.I understand they have no control in having to play the 2nd easiest schedule in the league this year, but beat a good team and get back to me and then I'll give them some credit. DTro
So yeah back to my original post. I'd like to let the other teams know that they can keep the ball out of Harvins's hands by not scoring any points
Jim Uran
Dominating Dominating!!!! Harvin still scored though!!! I smell Rookie of the Yeah honors already. We've got a few tough games left, even Chicago will be tough. I hate playing division rivals. Az, and the G-men are the only true tests left. The Bengals are a fluke if you ask me. No point arguing with Lmitout, he knows everything. When we win the Superbowl, he'll have the balls to say I told you they'd win it.... let it snow
The nice thing about the Vikes this year as they are BEATING the sub .500 teams instead of playing down to their level and losing. Thank GOD the "prevent offense" has gone away.
PierBridge
He still was amazing on the one return. He made something out nothing. He's just a stud at this point!
TR21
Its just another example of Chili making the right decision to trade or draft the right people. It started with the signing of Hutchinson and the last 2 drafts then Jared Allen. Harvin has a ton of talent and so far has shown durability as well despite a few nicks during the season. You can't be comparing 2 NFL teams playing each other to a MLB team playing a minor league team? There really is not all that much difference between good teams and bad teams in the NFL. True, some teams are better than others but not by leaps and bounds. Every team has talented players and coaches. What teams should the Vikes play to "show you something"? Denver is above .500 but got destroyed by SanDiego this week.Indy barely beat Baltimore, does this suggest Baltimore is better than you thik or Indy is not as good as their record?Dallas got beat by GB and almost beat by Washington.Cinncy and Philly have both been beat by Oakland.Pitts was beat by KC.Saints had a tough time with the rams but the seahawks beat the rams.Cardinals were beat by SFJust goes to prove any team can beat any team. The saints have 2 wins over teams with over .500 records just as the vikings have. I guess they arent very good either. I hate to break it to you but you arent going to find any team that has 5 or 6 wins over teams with over .500 records. Indy has 4, Cinncy has 3.....thats the NFL.... The easy schedule isn't doing the Vikings any favors. Fans either apparently.
JBMasterAngler
So are you saying the vikings and saints will both lose their first playoff game because they'll be playing teams with a 10-6/11-5 record?

Great logic isnt it....even though those 10-6 teams have no more wins over teams with over .500 records than the vikings and saints.... LMITOUT
OK, Duke is undefeated so far this season. That must mean they're going to win the NCAA championship next April. That's the logic you're using.Great logic, isn't it?You know full well what I'm saying but tap dancing around it. The Vikings haven't been tested except for once against Pitt and they lost. Not to mention they needed a hail mary against SF and a missed FG against Balt to win those two games. Until they show something I have flashbacks to '98. If you want to push all-in with this team then have at it. I'm going to hold onto my chips and play a few more hands to see what shakes out. Unfortunately due to their lackluster schedule we probably won't know until the playoffs.
