umichjesse
Tipped over a porker Sunday night. Not the biggest rack, but he had some weight on him. Everytime I look at the wall I will remember how hard it was dragging him up out of that steep ravine in the pitch black while the coyotes howls echoed through the trees. Sorry for the self timer pics but I was hunting alone

Musky Buck
I want to guess before he says, must be SE like Rochester area or even south to Houston county ? He must feel safe not wearing more than a hat although it was hot and he is soon a guttin, I wouldn't feel safe where I hunt. Hey, nice deer and great pictures, thanks for sharing. Oh hang on Sunday night, it don't even look gutted assuming the pictures were taken Monday morning. Good job with the whole enchilada. I felt safe taking my coat off to gut and drag him because I was hunting alone and minutes after the picture I head my headlamp on. There was no way I could wear the coat dragging him, it was 70 degrees that evening! Thanks for the complements everyone. I didn't mean to diminish the buck. It was just that his body size made the rack look small when he has on the hoof. Also, I had to pass on a much bigger 10 point the next morning because I was after a doe with a bonus tag. He is going on my wall, so I definitely don't think he that small.

zepman
Very nice buck!! I shot one that could be his twin from the Rushford/Peterson area 3 years ago. I hunt 3B and I feel your pain getting him up out of those valleys. Congrats on the deer!!

Hopefully that bigger 10 you saw the next morning will live through the season and you can get another shot at him! Thanks for sharing, it's a great looking buck!
