BlueLundFishrman
Well the Vikings have the North locked up. The Vikings can lose 3 games and still win the NFC North. Nobody else from this division makes the playoffs. The Cowboys or Eagles will win the East. Cowboys have the division lead right now after beating Philly, but they still have to play another game this season. But either way they both should make the playoffs. NY Giants were looking good, but now their are a train wreck, not sure if they can rebound this year or not.The Arizona Cardinals win the West. San Francisco was looking to put up a challenge, but it's looking like "wait 'til next year" for them.New Orleans wins the South, Atlanta will also make the playoffs.Looking like the Saints and Vikings are the top 2 seeds. Atlanta at Dallas and Philadelphia at Arizona 1st round
Outfitter17
Looks like a pretty good prediction. I would assume the same thing. Hopefully we can ride out a #2 seed right into the Superbowl and bring home some hardware.
splakeshaker
That's looks about right to me as well. I think you hit the nail on the head. I'm really surprised the Giants fell apart. I think Drew Breese will be the league MVP this year and he deserves it. Farve could be in the running also.
FISHINGURU
every week it looks more and more like the vikes could win it all.if you've noticed the saints aren't very good when bree's gets pressured and they cannot stop the run...they get a few lucky breaks every week with there defense scoring td's.last i looked the vikes can get after the qb and can run the ball and we also don't make very many turnovers.if there was ever a team to stop the saints it is the vikes. zepman
I agree FG. The Saints will probably land the #1 seed because their schedule is really, really soft from here on out and because they are a darn good team. They cannot stop the run and this will be their downfall come playoff time. There are 8 games left this year and injuries will start to play a huge factor in how everything will turn out...fortunately, the Vikes are looking pretty healthy right now. SkunkedAgain
Both the Vikings and Saints have soft schedules (the Packers do too but we can't even win those!). They should be the top two seeds as stated above. I wouldn't count out the Giants as they have a knack of playing terrible mid-season and then turning it on when it counts. Anyone remember Mannings 5 INTs against the Vikings and then the improbable run to the Lombardi trophy later that season? If the Vikings and Saints meet in the championship game, it should be a fun one to watch for sure. I especially like that both are turf teams, meaning the field conditions won't be an advantage.
croixflats
Looks good as a prediction but it would be a kicker if Dallas takes us over and we end up playing Atlanta and they play NO. Dallas looks to have a soft schedule also. If things go the way it looks and we do play NO I'm more than a bit worried of ending up playing in New Orleans. This is why the Vikes can not let up and hope NO faulters a bit so we get Home field.I think Arizona is going to get their act together by the time we play them and that game will be a toss up. Lets hope Winfield is back by then or Warner will pick them apart if there is no preasure on Warner. And the Vikes are close to losing a game in the 3 or 4 quarter and I dont think it will have to be a good team. So that could be two games right there that will make it intresting with Dallas standings.
Jim Uran
Our schedule isn't that tough either, The only thing we can do is hope Favre doesn't get hurt.. If he's out, we are out. I don't trust either one of our backups. I'm hoping Dallas stops playing well the rest of the season, Romo is bound to choke like he does every December. I still give us the #2 spot with a possibility at #1!!
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted November 9, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted November 9, 2009 Our schedule is no cake walk. We've got Cincinnati, Arizona, and the Giants. After those three, out the remaining 5 games two of those are against the Bears who always play us tough. That leaves Detroit, Seattle and a resurgent Carolina who took first in the tough NFC south last year.It is a tough schedule we have remaining, not a soft one. BlueLundFishrman
The Vikings definitely can't afford to have Farve go down. Even with their powerful o-line & AP, teams have shown they can slow down the Vikings run game. Combine a slowed down run game and putting some pressure on Farve, and it could spell a January loss for the purple and gold.
Mudcutter
totally agree on the Vikes schedule,, it's not easy. The Saints schedule is. They have 3 games worthy of losing,, Dallas and NE at Home and at Atlanta. The rest of their schedule is a joke.I don't think the Vikes can beat NO at the Superdome,, but I think if NO plays the Vikes at Metrodome,, it will be a classic.Would be a good year to have an outdoor stadium,, as NO would be a different team outside in the elements.Saints have more holes than the Vikes. Wild CArd done with--I see the Vikes hosting DallasSaints/ Atlanta in a battle.Vikes put some rest to the demons and 1998 and beat ATL to goto the SuperBowl. FISHINGURU
its no secret if favre goes down we are toast...i'll still cheer them on and hope for the best but it will be an eye sore to go from a legend of the game to a legend of the gatorade cooler!! kg2
If any of the starting QBs in the NFC go down, their team is not going to go too far.
BlueLundFishrman
Mudcutter, Vikings remaining schedule isn't that difficult, or let me put it this way, it shouldn't be that difficult. Saints do have a slightly more favorable schedule. But just because you have a better team on paper doesn't mean you will always win. So both teams still have to go out there and make the plays and win the game, it's not like the opposing team is just gonna lay down and die.I think the Vikings have the potential to make it to the Super Bowl, but I don't see them getting there. I think they will let their fans down once again. But there still is a half a season for them (and the rest of the NFC) to improve and get ready for the playoffs.Should be an exciting 2nd half of the season. No schedule is a cake walk but the Vikings have one of the easiest seasons remaining. They should do it, even with a loss or two to one of the better teams. You can tell me until you're blue in the face that the Bears play their NFC North foes tough, but they aren't a good team this year and the Vikings should beat them. Anything less is an underperformance by the Queens.

harvey lee
I really hope the Vikes make it to the SB but I would bet against it.
BlueLundFishrman
I hope they don't make it. Out of concern for all the Vikings fans out there, I hope they lose right away so as to not get your hopes too high, and to get the let down over ASAP. croixflats
Its looking more and more like it will be NO and the Vikes in the end thanks to the pack taking out Dallas.New Orleans play New England next weak and hopefully they will be handed there 1st lost. So homefeild could be intresting who ends up with it.
zamboni
NO is NOT unbeatable, they almost lost to the Rams, for Petes sake!!! The Colts have won a few by the skin of their teeth, as well. They will each lose at least one or two games the rest of the way out. Vikes might sneak into homefield throughout if they both go 15-1. Driftless
kampman and harris out for season with knee injuries.no adequate back up for harris. gonna have to play zonenow and that means lots fewer blitzes.put a fork in the packers. panhead
Packers were done before those injuries. Offensive line has been terrible. Small chance in making the playoffs, they wont do anything if they do.Vikes game againt the bears in Chicago could be a tough one for Farve,if the weathers bad. He cant handle the cold like when he was younger. Packers should have been in the SB two years ago, but he threw an interception against the giants in overtime to loose the game. Farve had faded as the season progressed the last few years in GB. I hope he stays healthy enough to get the vikes to the SB and win it. He deserves another one as do some of the other vets on your team.
Fish Tales
What decides #1 seed if tie with same record. Conference record first and then common opponents 2nd. Third A.P. and Brees have at it 50 yard line neutral site.
