Wobbler
My family just completed building a new hunting cabin this Fall after 20 years in another shack and we are trying to come up with a good name for our new hunting cabin? Any suggestions would be appreciated since I'm in charge of getting shirts made before the opener!
JacobMHD
What is the dominate feature of the property? Large tree, rock formation, etc.

leech~~
Maybe name it in tribute after one of the first old timers that started the camp that may not be around anymore, if there were any? We have had a few pass on since we started up. Maybe their name or camp nick name everyone use to call them?
Wobbler
Thanks for the suggestions so far. We used to have our place called "the shack" and after a disagreement with one of the other lease partners we went on our own. A shack by us has the "Rack Shack" which I really like but can't use. My dad who is 57 is the oldest and no other old timers are or have been there. The landscape is mixed so it is kinda hard to hame it after that. I have a son and daughter coming to hunt out there in a few years so I need to keep it appropriate. Keep them coming. I will let you know what we decide! picksbigwagon
I would just call it Home...."where are you headed this weekend?" Oh, I'm just heading Home for the weekend.
skee0025
Any females in the party? If so you could call it "2 b@lls short" hunting camp
Wobbler
picksbigwagon,Thanks sounds like a good name. I don't know if you remember but last year I posted the "Camp Kitty" thread. Just a little update, like I said we built a new cabin, we ended our ties with that man who disrupted our hunting the past 4-5 years. What a great hunting year so far! picksbigwagon
I remember that Wobbler, I am glad you are having a better year this year. I am heading back to my "home" hunting camp in Iowa this year. I have probably 2 more years of that before my kids start hunting with me in MN, so we will have to start a new "Home" You hunting camp is more than 2 hots and a cot, it is a feeling and if you feel like the weight of the world is off your shoulders when you pull in to park, you're home
Wobbler
picksbigwagon,Our new place whatever we call it is exactly what you describe. It was tough last year to convey why I did not want to leave the area we hunted but cutting our losses and still having the same areas I always hunted and a new place is exciting. 9 days, no phone service, nothing but family and hunting is what it is all about! My brother likes Camp Widow Maker or Rack Shack.
