In the interest of honesty, half those fish were caught with worms, not flies. Earlier in the fall I caught most of my fly rod fish on hoppers, recently I have been catching a lot of rainbows and a few browns on woolly buggers and fake eggs because the salmon and browns are spawning

Must have had a nice warm front come through BC wink

That's a big bull! Those things are nearly extinct from the Montana watersheds. Too much competition with exotic tout species. Same with the Grayling.

Very cool pics!

We were on Lake of the Woods for the opener. My personal best, 38". Just over an hour battle, I didn't think she would ever get tired. 32" heavy action rod with 10# fireline and a spinning real with the drag set just right. So much fun!

DylansBrookie3.jpg

An Artistic Angler replica of a nice brookie that my then 7 year old caught all by himself on opening weekend 2010 out of a small local stream. I was just the "net-man" grin

This one was 16" and very girthy. He became quite the trout fisherman in 2010, catching 17 brookies in total opening weekend and over the season caught 5 over 12". Not bad for just fishing small local streams!!
