In hindsite, that would have been great. But guys going all out like AP can't play every play. Sometimes they need a quick breather so they can run through another defender like he did late in the game (the very play before this, if I'm not mistaken). Chester is no slouch and not a bad guy to have in the game. The guy didn't make a catch. Favre threw the ball a little high. It happens. Time to move on and beat the Pack.

Run that play 20 times and taylor's probably going to catch that ball 19 times. That play is his play. Absolutely correct that AP has just BULLDOZED a dude and ran for a BIG gain. That late in the game, if AP is back in there he may be a hindrance since he's whooped. Yeah, Favre's throw was a little high, but he hit him in the hands and Taylor took his eyes off the ball. Had the ball been high AND late, then we have a different situation since the defender would have closed the gap. The throw was plenty catchable and Taylor muffed it. Plain and simple. Doesn't make him a bad player, doesn't mean he should be cut, just means he blew a play that he makes almost EVERY time.

Either way, I have no problem with the guys on the field there. If it's incomplete it's now 3rd and 3 and probably a safe bet AP is in there on that play.

There is a better chance that Taylor catches that ball and scores a TD rather than what happened IMO. The vikes called a safe play that could spring for a big play and an absolute fluke happened. Chester never drops that ball.

I think as long as Ziggi is willing to pay for the players they have brought in recently and Chili keeps his current staff in place it probably is a good deal. You could do worse- Cable, Mangini, Jauron, Rex Ryan, Del Rio, Phillips.

Actually it makes a lot of sense.

I think some of you are over reacting here. All thats being done is Chili is getting proportionately what the other coaches in the division are making. If it makes you guys feel better Chili can still be fired if we go 17-2 and lose the Super Bowl.

He's being rewarded for the teams and his success.

And truthfully the contract is a bit low considering were about to win our 2nd straight Division "1st time in 31 years for that" and he's the sole reason Favre is here...

I'm also wondering if you know how much $ Zigi has put into the TEAM (For Childress) over those years?

How many "big games" has he won? What his record vs. the packers (excluding this year)?
