PierBridge
On a positive note for T-Jack. Favre now has the team record of being the farthest illegally down-field while attempting a forward pass...

we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted December 14, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted December 14, 2009 T-Jack performed better against Arizona than Favre did in last weeks game. Easily. When you can say T-jack performed better on a team that didn't have Harvin, Loadholt or EJ Henderson, than an elite level QB now that's saying something. You T-Jack haters have no credibility and I'm sure it's dis-heartening picking all that tough old crow out from between your teeth.. Especially FG who has his opinion based on things other than skill. Get ready haters, when Favre isn't the QB it's going to be T-Jack. Ouch, that's going to leave a mark, ehhhh boys. mnwild
T-Jack will never be a legit QB in the NFL. The guy is to stupid to read what the defense is throwing at him. Hello Sage, he WILL be the QB once Purple Moses is gone.

There is no way you are serious Rick. No credibility???? We are simply going off of what we've seen on the field. He has shown nothing to make anyone think he can lead this team to anything other than a 1st round playoff loss. If your happy with that Rick than junkson is your guy. If your content with junkson your content with viking mediocrity.

Now you have even more crow to eat.
zepman
I thought Gus was responsible for the majority of that....
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted December 15, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted December 15, 2009 Nope, T-Jack came in and pulled Gus's fat out of the fire against the Motor City Kitties and then he brought the Vikes to the NFC North Division Championship with Gus on the sidelines. Zep, I didn't know you also missed the Vikes games with JW while you were so busy watching Sages Texans game film. Come on guys. Please pay attention in the future and you can avoid eating so much crow. If you guys had actually watched the end of the season you would have seen a developmental QB improving. "SHOCKER TO HATERS" I do agree with everyone that we really don't have the time to wait for him to develop this year on the job. Brett's been just what the Dr. ordered while T-Jack studies under him except against the Cardinals where Brett could watch T-Jacks game film from last year to get a few tips. zepman
Not a hater...just remembered Gus posting the majority of W's last year...maybe it's you who needs to check your memory.Winning and playing well in one or two games is a far fetch from leading us to the Divisional crown and into the play-offs. Without Gus last year, the Vikes are a 6-10 team...if they're lucky.I like TJack...right where he is...a back-up. I don't think he'll ever get the opportunity to lead the Vikes offense as our #1 again but I do hope they retain his services as he has shown he can handle himself decently when called on. PierBridge
Without Gus last year, the Vikes are a 6-10 team...if they're lucky. I normally don't nit-pic your post since the majority are spot on or at-least reasonable..... But..... ...Thats Crazy bordering on insane....I highly doubt we would have been one game worse than 10-6 and probably a game better if Ziggy didn't cave into the whining majority and make Chili stick a washed up broken down veteran in. We really needed to stick with T-Jack who obviously needed the work and wasting it on Gus was a huge mistake. Nothing Personal....
zepman
I agree, we should have stuck with TJack all of last year...that way we wouldn't have 40 pages of speculation this year. Again, I'm not a TJack hater like some on here but he not only lost a few games to start last season...he also lost the confidence of the veteran leadership on the team. Those vets demanded a change...Ziggy made it happen. IMO, the Viking's implode last year with TJack at the helm...Childress has no contract extension...and they watch the play-offs from their home. The Viking's actions this past off-season really tells the whole story. Signing Sage for 3 Million/per and finally going out and getting #4. Actions speak louder than words Pier. we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted December 15, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted December 15, 2009 To Clarify he lost a couple games to start the season, not a few. One to Green Bay in Green Bay and one to Indianapolis that our defense blew a 19 point lead in. Those were a couple tough games for a developmental QB to start the season off. To the haters credit, T-Jack did not look wonderful in either of those games but caving and putting Gus in was a mistake. We probably would have beaten Philly if T-Jack had the extra game time under his belt. Let's face it, T-Jack did beat the eventual NFC Champ handily last year. A team Favre looked woeful against this year. As for signing Sage they wanted a seasoned guy to come in and teach T-Jack a bit of the gunslinger mentality he lacked. Now they have Favre and you see where Sage sits....3rd string. As for speaking volumes the current QB pecking order speaks even more volume... Like I've said before, we have an elite QB starting for us an average starter as the back-up and the best back-up in the league as our third stringer. It's Win-Win-Win baby
zepman
Rick...you speak often of "the haters" on this thread. The REAL haters (Viking's Veterans)and those demanding a change of scenery last season are/were on his own team and include:WinfieldHutchinsonBirk (last year of course)Kevin and Pat WilliamsSharper (L/Y)WadeAllenetc, etc,etc.....Funny, those guys are the same ones you hear of that virtually rang Favres cell phone batteries dead all of this past summer. That's some serious hate right there!

TR21HP
Not a chance. Vick is leaving and McNabb is staying. It would cost the Vikes way too much to get him, besides who is saying Favre won't be here next year?

JBMasterAngler
Also, if you want to watch the games, you better have the money to go to them, because with "junkson" under center they're sure to black out just about every home game. I highly doubt ziggy is going to want to lose out on all the tv money, so that reason alone is why we'll have someone else taking snaps instead of ol' "kneel down magee" Jimmy Clausen would look good in purple
